Which is the one game that you had so much hope/hype for but flopped TERRIBLY both within the gaming press and for your own expectations? Mine is Driv3r. I had so much hope for that game, first 2 games were awesome and then at the end of Driver 2 you see "Driver returns in 2002"...2 YEARS?? WTF?...Then the game doesn't actually come out until 2004 and Stuntman is out in between creating even more hype. Then it comes out. I guess I was stubborn at the time and thought it deserved at least an 8, looking back it is beyond a POS. Awful game tbh, an absolute mess and left me heartbroken that from then on I knew the series would never recover, especially compared with the new GTA games (San Andreas was a few months away from release which effectively put the Driver series to its death bed since let's be honest, no one really cares for Driver anymore). So what games stand out for you had genuinely thought would probably end up a classic yet instead have left you with genuine sorrow, anger and disappointment? Peace.
