So you're going to ignore the whole game just because of one boss fight? :|
A lot of great games had terrible last boss fights.
In todays games, the last boss fight is almost always going to fail. I don't remember a last boss fight that I've felt satisfied to be in the past five years. The whole thing about todays games is that they throw in all of these awesome mechanics and at the end you don't even have to use them. I final boss should be a test of everything that you have learned previously, but because games today are built around strong narratives the last fight is usually going to seem pretty pathetic. Think about the boss on bioshock, when you finally get to take down the last boss, and it was a total letdown. The end of the story in games is usually about you going one on one with the main bad dude and when you've spent the past few hours taking down hordes of enemies at once, one guy is kind of a cakewalk. So basically todays games are much more about the journey then how it ends, which is great, but I still wish developers would learn how to create a real next gen boss fight. So true.Raam was really good ,most of the other last boss fights have been underwhelming[QUOTE="ASK_Story"][QUOTE="Oilers99"]I wouldn't worry too much; there will be a lot of gamers to complain about any title that reaches a wide audience. There's no guarantee that the game itself will be any good, but a lot of those complaints sound a lot like gamers disliking the game not because it is poorly designed, but because it does not perfectly match their personal preferences.Oilers99True. But some of those comments come across as blasphemous toward RPGs, like purchasing items at save points, no towns to visit for the first 20 hours of the game, the game ending when only one member of your party dies, the entire party getting healed after every battle, no escaping during battles even if it's a weak enemy, etc. Those aren't just criticisms for bad taste. Those are genuine concerns to think about. Like I said, it's not a RPG from what I'm hearing. Also, one guy saying that there's no strategy in the battle system is worth noting. I'm looking forward to see what western reviewers will say about this. And it's pretty funny how one guy said that Square-Enix paid Famitsu for that high review score. Maybe, maybe not. Why do role-playing games have to have a lot of towns? Because they traditionally have had them? Isn't purchasing items at save points kind more efficient, and make a whole lot more sense? You are basically preparing for the next section of the game, and save points traditionally dictate what those segments are broken down into. Healing after every battle is actually something that was implemented in a fairly forward-minded role-playing game; Chrono Cross. Here's the thing; if the game KNOWS that you are at full health at the start of every battle, it's far easier to balance the combat to be far more challenging at each individual encounter. No escaping is fine if the game doesn't force you to backtrack through overly weak enemies. The majority of these sound like things that are not design flaws unless executed improperly. In fact, a lot of these complaints have actually increased my interest in the game. It sounds like it's got some things going for it. It's all good defending a game you actually played and enjoyed.Being a fanboy of a game you haven't played on the other hand is just sad.
Twilight Princess is my personal favourite followed by WindWaker and Ocarina of Time. They're all better than Twilight Princess.

Why would they do this? Is this a scheme to get everyone who applies to go to mcdonalds in assumption that a certain percent will end up being a customer and buying food from them?
I wouldn't go. I've heard rumors about people going and never coming back. They'll make you into burgers! :P Yup,it's true
