[QUOTE="faheem_s_i"]When I was younger Konami were the best, right up there with Nintendo.mgs1,excitebike,iss,castlevania,silent hill 1 and so many more but since the early 2000's they've been losing it,Capcom on the other hand were always good but since Konami's slide they've been getting alot more of my attention.RE4,lost planet, dead rising,zelda-oracles and a few others.Capcom for me now but Konami up till early 2000.BattleTurtlesExcitebike was made by Nintendo Wasn't the original Nes version a Konami game? Konami were credited,I'm sure of it but if I'm wrong, thank you for pointing it out.
I love the Zelda series but don't like Mgs,Mgs 2 bored me with all cutscenes towards the end, spending over 10 minutes watching a cutscene is not my idea of a videogame.Never been a 3d Mario fan, don't think I ever will be.This is simple, Kojima is a much more talented developer, producer and writer than Miyamoto could ever hope to become. There is no story in mario games and barely any hint of a plot in zelda games. Both Zelda and Mario games involve in rescuing the princess, the same ones each time mind you. It seems that miyamoto doesn't know how to write a storyline at all and reuses the same over and over again. With Kojima, he created one of the most successful and revered game franchises of all time, MGS.
MGS has a great story, interesting characters and great gameplay to boot. While Zelda and Mario only have gameplay. MGS makes you care about the characters and pulls you into the conflict and the world that the games take place in while Zelda and Mario do not have this same effect on players.
So unless miyamoto can learn how to write a story and develop characters properly, MGS will always be better than zelda and mario.
