Good Job! But you do realize that Blu-Ray from what I understand doesn't allow you to watch 1080p signals thru component.

I edited my above post but ill just paste it here...

P.S: let alone the FACT DIGITAL has been around for a long time, I want you to give me proof that digital hdmi..ect is better the component in every single way....

Digital was created to give you a lossless signal so no conversion had to take place, as well digital allows for a longer cable lenght with higher speed data rates, This is why it was created, At the 1-3 meter length which is long enough for most any one, thats 9 FEET PEOPLE, at the most after that the signal degrades.

This is why Digital signal carrying cables were invented....oh and to allow hollywood to control your content, Component is a very robust cable and input output protocol it can handle most every thing visually hdmi can, the only reason hollywood hates it? cause they cannot use it to block what you watch, record...ect

Thats in reply to your reply to my first post to you.

Now here is my reply to this post....

Edit: good job on editing your post to what you understand, i will remove my sarcastic comment.

do you know that DVI supports HDCP as well? or ICT flags? do you know that ITs only HDMI 1.3 that supports HDCP or ICT?

Do you know that no blu ray movie, or hd dvd movie out right now supports hdcp or ict?

DO you know all most 80% of of movie studios support HDCP and the ICT protocol but will not force people that run said movies over component to downgrade the picture from 1080p to a lower resolution?

Do you know that no matter what happens in the future, all movies released from now till the time HDCP and ICT are implimented will play fine, that the ICT and HDCP tags are built into the disks them selves?

the HDCP protocol means nothing since it will be breached easily just like all the protection schemes in dvd.

Arguing with you is pointless because it's like teaching a blind monkey to drive a semi. All I can say is if Component is just as good or the same as HDMI then why was HDMI invented then, why are all the manufacturers slowly but surely converting everything to HDMI, HUH! I WONDER!

[QUOTE="familyguyvs360"][QUOTE="rogue_leader_5"]Both consoles can do 1080p but does it REALLY make a difference over which medium?toxicmog

TV's don't allow you to do 1080p through component, HDMI allows you to achive this and have true 1080p.

some tv's do allow 1080p thru component, some don't. VGA will definitely run 1080p analog....and I don't know what "true" 1080p is, nor do I know what "false" 1080p would be.

Ok Tv not letting you do 1080p over component is fact, But true 1080P? there is no difference from the 1080p shown over component then that of the hdmi, all forms of 1080p can be shown over component the only differences between the 2 is digital signal vs analog, and cable length.

If there is no difference then why was digital invented...DUH!

We were waiting for the better baseball game and it came, the point is we have something better to play besides 2K7. So go play your game and wine on your own.
