In High School it was always nicknames. In college it's formal. But of course I'm sure that will change when I get a big head as time goes on and I think I'm a big shot or something :P

If I added up my year...it was slightly better than average. Jan-March: Family HELL and but School was amazing (Plays (although I had an emotional breakdown during practice because of the family stuff..oh well), active in lots of stuff) April-May: End of High School Career, partying, friends...with a little backlash of the family stuff. Summer: Drink Drink Drink Drink, Friends, Fun, Work, Money, Drink, Drink. Good stuff. September-November: College begins, amazing times, amazing new friends with a great roommate. End of November...FINALLY got my first girlfriend who's OUT OF MY LEAGUE LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE!!!! Seriously. December: Maybe best month of my life? Girlfriend, friends, not a drop of alcohol and I've never had more fun. Maybe it was pretty great besides the family crap...but that's over and done with for the most part. Good year! '09 WILL be better though, I already know.

A man was born old, grows young, and you watch his life at age 90, 83-70, 55, 40, 25, 17, 8, 1-0 The first half is him young (old) and the rest just speeds things up from him middle age to old (young) Amazing movie though. I'm 6'8" and can't sit in theaters for nearly three hours because my butt falls asleep and my legs essentially die but I forced myself too because it was really good.

It depends.

Book Smart: I'd say I am above average but I have my weak points for sure!

Common Sense: I'd say that I'm quite intelligent...but I have 'blonde moments' quite often.

Emotionaly: Average. I don't understand my girlfriend a lot of times...maybe because she's my first girlfriend and I'm 18 and haven't experienced a lot of stuff. But with most emotions, I'm pretty in-tune.

Overall, I'd say I'm above average with a few really weak points.

Although, I'm told I'm pretty intelligent and mature, so maybe I am. :P

Horror films are still good, you just have to look harder for them. Some of the films I am about to list are not really scary, but they are still great horror films that any horror fan should watch.

Session 9

The Devil's Backbone

Eden Lake

High Tension

Inside

Frontiers

Kairo

Shutter

A tale of two sisters

Midnight Meat train

Rogue

The Signal

The Cottage

Stuck

The Strangers

Let The Right One In

Teeth

The Descent

The Others

A stir of echoes

6 films to keep you awake

Identity

Behind the mask: The rise of Leslie Vernon

Bubba Ho Tep

Slither

Feast

Cigarette Burns

Audition

28 days later

Film-Guy

A lot of those I really want to see. I must say though that High Tension left me saying..."Holy crap...that was the dumbest thing I have ever seen!" and Shutter is complete garbage in my opinon.

Idk what went wrong with that post I tried.

But i said that The Birds, Psycho, and The Shining aren't scary at all. The Shining is so horrible to me and I don't understand why its reviewed so well.

The only movie that made me completely frightened throughout was Quarantine. I was really surprised how scared I was.

[QUOTE="fatjack04"]

I really hate people that joke about this kind of stuff.

It happens (my dad) and one day, you're really going to offend someone if you joke about it around them.

If you don't know anyone that has done it, you don't know the pain it causes and the blame you put on yourself. So please don't joke.

guynamedbilly

Or we could not be so sensitive about subjects not relating to us at all. No one has mentioned a specific situation except for you and just because something particularly bad happened in one instance to one person isn't enough reason for everyone to walk around on eggshells. At least in my opinion. Too much PC makes billy angry.

I understand what you're saying, and I agree. But this whole thread is joking about suicide and I don't think something like that should be joked about. Not because it's a sensitive subject for me, but because it's something horrible that happens a lot to a lot of people. Honestly, look up the statistics. It's not easy to go through and the person who started the topic was cleary trying to make fun of it...it sucks reading something like that.

This could be a warning. Because if rude jokes about DEATH are made to the wrong person who something bad has happened to...they might not be so gently offended.

I'll be the first to poke fun at something...something other than death, which in no way, shape, or form has any sort of humor in it.

Imagine a parent, relative, girlfriend, wife, husband, someone close doing that and then reading something like this. I get that they were trying to get a reactionary thread started...which they did. But it really irritates you when people don't even understand what they're joking about.

Would you joke about cancer if your best friend died from it? Or joke about homicide if your sibling was murdered?

Just because it hasn't happened to someone, shouldn't mean they have free reign to offend people. I'm not talking about making fun of people for being weird or laughing at someone for something they did, this thread was making fun of death.

That's pretty sad and pathetic, in my opinon.
