these aren't mandated.. the cheap twister bulbs are out their.. i got mine a few years ago and they are still going. The old bulbs went out every few weeks and wasted to much energy

This is why they will be banned next.
not to mention that if they break on carpet your supposed to remove a large chunk of the carpet in the process of cleaning up
