they're not getting the picture right. Some poeple who would'nt buy the game and instead watch a lets play, wouldn't buy the game even if there are no lets plays available. If you want sales, make games that are desirable to play.

@darthrevenx: he's not talking about story, hes talking about single player. You don't need a story to roam and explore single player maps. Doom I and II were mostly SP because by that time there were few, if none internet or lan connections. MP Became widespread and popular with Quake 2.

I thinks its my time to quit the gamer path. I'll keep on with accountability and bureaucracy. Its kind of getting just as or even more entertaining and fun than the gaming industry these days.

@schmollian: come on man, doom 1 and 2 pallete was mostly brown, dark green, gray, and red. No problem with a little more color, but there's gotta be balance. Oh, and I forgot to mention the annoying and meaningless "quadrakill" exclamations. Its just so not Doom at all.

with all the colors and lights it looks like an incestuos spawn of unreal tournament and sonic the hedgehog. Quite difficult to think of ot as Doom.
