do you need a laptop, i mean alienware does have some pretty nice desktops for gamming. might as well spend the money on a good desktop, since laptops are usally less powerful than desktops but its really up to you : /

[QUOTE="ferret837"][QUOTE="blx"]the PSU is overkill. habitat

you cant have over kill when it comes too psu's.....

uhhhhh, yeah the power supply is overkill...there is such a thing. spending more for less watts is far more smart and reliable than spending less for more watts...you have to watch what you buy, power supply quality is very important. save yourself some cash and buy a 600 watt power supply...thats more than enough for the system. its not a complex system...every pc is composed of similar parts, so once you build your first pc, youll know what you're doing. it doesnt take an expert to build a pc. google some building tutorials if you're having trouble, there are plenty of detailed free ones that are very helpful. the systen will run new games just fine.

ya but what if he wanted to go SLI in the futer? He is getting a Sli bored..... but 600w is more than enough if u want a good Psu this ones pretty good...... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817139002
but you are right it is better not to spend less for more watts
