Super Mario Galaxy Review

I sure hope people read this one, because i think that this is my longest review ever. There was so much to talk about, and for your information...

[spoiler] i gave it a 9.1 :o Nintendo fanboys feel free to attack me for not giving it a 9.5-10 ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Cuz i mean come on, the game was tons of fun and definitely a must own for the Wii, but it doesn't appeal to everybody and has some flaws [/spoiler]

So please, read as much as you can, if you like it, recommend :)

Expect a Metroid Prime 3 review soon, im nearing the end of that game. Also expect a MarioKart DS review, i should have written that a while back.

After that hopefully i can get some cash together and buy myself a cheap portable game, any suggestions? (it can be on either PSP and DS, no more than $20 cost please, and if it has online then thats a plus! :D ) In fact i might just buy MGSPO+...

In other news second semester in school starts soon, im only about 5 months away from the end of high school (secondary school) and then life will change for the better...i hope :P

Battlefield 2 Review

For those Wii owners who are not aware, there is currently a contest to see who can make the best Princess Peach Mii. This is mine lol. I made a crown using the eyebrows, nice touch no? Well yea please vote for me if you see this Mii in the votings!! BTW what do you get if you win? :P

In other news, whoever so wants to challenge me to MarioKart DS, step up, and add me. My friend code is up in my blog header. I shall murder everybody, jk, im not that good :P I was way better at double dash, or maybe people online are really good, or a bunch of cheaters :lol: Anyway yea cya online.

Finally, in non-Nintendo related stuff, i played Rock Band the other day! I dont know if i mentioned it, but it was very fun :D I was the drums, its really fun and kinda easy, until you have to use the pedal. That was a pain in the ass. Anyway if you really care, it was the PS3 version :o

Now i want to say one last thing. Im fighting myself right now, cuz i have money to buy No More Heroes, but im resisting cuz that money is for SSBB. IDK what to do lol. Maybe ill wait till i get more money. Oh, and expect a SMG review soon ;)

Im gonna start playing Chrono Trigger for the first time. Everyone holds this as one of the dearest and best RPG's ever so i may as well try it. I have played it before in the past but i vaguely remember it...and i only played about the first hour or so before. But anyway yea im gonna play bits of SMG at teh same time to make it last, and as for Metroid Prime 3, i just can't bring myself to play it much anymore. It's...just not...what i expected i guess. It's still a cool game but i honestly want it to end.

So yea, Chrono Trigger...yup...

So this gets me thinking about this stupid cycle that i have every damn year. I get really into gaming in the winter, and as summer draws nearer my gaming interests completely deteriarate. I get to the point that i don't want to play games anymore, and much rather do other things. It almost happened earlier this year but Super Mario Galaxy saved me for the time being. Im really considering picking up No More Heroes too just in case i need an extra jolt. After that i should have enough to occupy me until Brawl's release. At that point i will have so many friend's over at my house on an almost daily basis that gaming cannot possibly get boring for months. So maybe this year will be different, maybe i'll actually get some good gaming done in the summer.

I suppose that may be the reason that im so behind with games. My collection is always small if you haven't noticed, because i really only buy games for half of the year, not year round like most people. But when i did buy games i would go crazy with spending. That was with the PS2. Now with the Wii, games are $50 so i really cannot afford to do that. Now i need to be way more careful, yet at the same time it's the Wii, so you don't always know what you're gonna get. Also i need money for other things at the moment. We will see.

Life is changing...gaming is changing...more than ever before in my life.

But yea im finished with Midterm exams, time to catch up on the Super Nintendo years that i missed out on, first step...

Of Super Mario Galaxy!! I have 55 stars, so 5 more and i can kill Bowser :twisted: Or at least hurt him real bad :P What i love about this game though is that 120 stars unlocks a certain character, and then 120 stars with that character gets you some secret. I dont know what the secret is so please don't spoil it!!

The game has been nothing but pure addiction to say the least. This is one of those games that will get you back into gaming when you feel like no game can satisfy you. From the graphics to the use of the Wii Controls (especially when balancing the sphere for those of you who have played the game), the pure Mario nostalgia, and the genious puzzles, this game is all that.

But i do think that maybe the game is just an inch overrated. Because at the end of the day, although the game is interesting and heaps of fun, it feels like somethings missing. You know, that "revolutionary" feel. Either way, definitely a game to remember, and im not even finished with it!!!

BTW im gonna record my boss fight with teh Bowser (im assuming its Bowser >_>) and putting it up.

As for No More Heroes, i was considering getting this game before, and after watching some more gameplay videos, i think im going to buy it. NOTE: I said GAMEPLAY VIDEOS, i have not read or watched any reviews before someone says that i am getting it because reviewers say its good. Its not cuz of that, its cuz the gameplay looks interesting.

Which brings me to saying that i do not know too much about this game. I was listening to the Hotspot yesterday and they made a good point about how games dont feel as special anymore because we hype them up too much before their release. Like, we know every inch of it before we play it, which kills the fun of discovery. I kinda wish i could go back in time and stop myself from knowing so much about a game like SSBB, but being on this site thats impossible. The second a bit of info about a game leaks out, someone always writes a blog that tells you everything. From now on i think im going to try my hardest to know as little as possible about a game before buying it. Maybe that'll give every game i buy an extra spark.

It's like when i started playing SMG, i didnt know much about it, all i knew was that Mario's in it and the game was getting ridiculously good reviews everywhere i went. And knowing so little about that game has made it that much more enjoyable.

Its midnight 1/22/08 where i live. Time for No More Heroes' release. I will not buy the game myself, actually i might...depends. If anyone gets it, let me know how it's like ok?

Its about 2:30 AM and i can't sleep. Well actually i took a nap from 9PM-12AM so that might explain why im still up, i dont need to sleep again for like an hour :P Hmm i wonder if splitting your sleep like that is healthy :?

Anyway remember that movie Cloverfield? Of course you do if you live in the US. The movie made 41 Million this weekend...thats amazing as the movie was underrated coming in. But yea i cant stop thinking about the movie...in fact i found a place to watch it online so i may watch it online again soon.

I also just finished watching "V for Vendetta" which was also a very good movie. Im in like movie mode right now haha.

Super Mario Galaxy- i have like 37 stars or sumthin, and the game hasn't lost its glow. I think when i review it i'' give it a score in the 9-9.5 range.

No this isnt a complicated blog meant to "tickle your fancy" or whatever that means just a simple question, what do you do to kill time besides gaming?

Right now i feel like im in a gaming "Crysis" cuz no games appeal to me and they all feel like something ive done before that i dont want to do again.

But anyway im killing time by playing guitar, watching movies, and listening to music because hey we all need a break.

Tomorrow i plan to go see the 1-18-08 movie currently known as "Cloverfield" and i hope that it turns out good.

Oh and im going to a girl's house so problem solved? :o

Keep gaming if you're really into it right now, i dont think im gonna get back into gaming like i was before till Brawl, i have to many expenses to buy a new game right now (driver's ed, driver's permit, yearbook, high school prom, college stuff etc.)

Meh i cant really bring myself too read long blogs or comment much of anything right now. Alot of you also said to get FFXII but i think when i need a game im going to pick up Killer7 like panda suggested. I need something refreshing right now cuz after not having SMG gamings gotten boring. MP3 isn't all that so...

I guess i still feel too pressured with life right now, and a thought that continues to hit my mind is that i need a Girlfriend. This is pretty personal and i dont know why im telling you guys lol but where else would i be able to say this? For some reason i feel like a cool girl is what a i need right now. Not to fall in love or anything i've never been "in love" and im 17...but its a thought that continues to come back at me.

Well anyways things are dull in life right now. I need to get things out of the way, i thought i had it solved but the more things i get rid of the more that shows up. Ughh...
