@sty1e_bender: Its only news worthy because Microsoft openly admitted that for the first year or so, most of their games would be cross-gen and Jim Ryan came out and basically tore into Microsoft's advertising campaign stating this whole bs about generations and pure next-gen only experiences and then painted both Horizon and GoW as true next-gen only experiences and sat back and watched as Microsoft took all the heat for basically admitting what happens every single generation anyway normally and then it wasn't until right before launch Sony finally admitted that Horizon was also cross-gen and now GoW is also, hence why people are finally calling them out for doing exactly what Sony said they weren't doing after Microsoft was openly forward with it.
@Atzenkiller: Scythes were Sice's weapon of choice in FF Type-0 and they have appeared as weapons for various villians before. FFXI also had the Dark Knight using scythes as their main weapon but FFXIV gave Dark Knights greatswords instead, much to the anguish of the fanbase that really wanted a scythe class (hence why they made Reaper).
@JamesHetfield89: They have shortened the grind at the beginning of the game over the last year, its not as bad as it was. Level 1-50 really is a tutorial and the combat can seem very slow until much later though which turns a lot of people of it. Its worth pushing through for Heavenswards and eventually Shadowbringers anyway, easily some of the best stories of any Final Fantasy game.
Not really surprising, Sony does this every generation promising a big early release game and then delaying it later, I'd be surprised if Horizon isn't pushed back to next year also yet. I don't think anyone was honestly expecting GoW only 3 years after the last game, considering its size. GoW is just this generations Uncharted 4 hype and delay game.
@miguelgreene: It's E3 time, this is pretty much expected. They likely have some announcements being kept for 2 weeks time. Darkest Dungeon alone is worth it for the month anyway, great game that i might play through again just for the sake of achievements points, atleast that is the excuse I will make to give me another reason to play through it for like the 10th time lol.
@mcnichoj: I enjoyed what little I played of For Honour, but its basically a dead game in Australia, maybe getting a game in during peak times if your lucky. Hopefully, this gives it the little resurgence it needs to get some Aussie games running again for a little while.
@Smosh150: Universe grew on me during the second season. The whole "we're all going to die" scenario for almost every episode of the first season was tiresome when you knew they would literally not kill everyone 6 episodes into the season. I hated almost every character in season 1, but some of them became less annoying in season 2 also and I really liked Ginn and Varro when they got introduced in season 2, unfortunately they killed off Ginn pretty quickly.
I do wish Atlantis got its movie ending they wanted to do though after they had to end it.
I'm not sure what I would like to see for a new series though. Going distant future could be fun but costly to make but I know a lot of people want to see early ancients in the past.
