Not really. You simply cannot help those who refuse to help themselves.

[QUOTE="Elann2008"]Update: It's still hanging at 57350 of 123632 files processed (stage 4 of 5) for the last 20+ minutes.... *sigh* Should I restart the PC and do it again or just keep waiting? :(Daytona_178Keep waiting, trust me, I have been repairing PC's for years and checkdisks always go like this. To be honest your better off ignoring it till it finished,,,make a sandwich, or fapp,,,or both!
Oh you
My "or" mobo selection is cheaper than that with free shipping. Did you not notice the "or" selection? I'm gonna make that more noticable now.
Also I'll probably stick with 2gb for now so I can upgrade to 4gb with a 2nd 2x1 set if need be.
I had a proposed parts list here yesterday but the main combo I was buying was discontinued today, so here is my new list. The goal for this list is to be able to max the Stalker and Crysis series (2xAA only) at 1440x900 on a 19'' monitor. Thats all I'll need it to do, really. The parts total to around $230, not including the GPU as I'll be waiting for a really good sale for that.
CPU+PSU combo
GPU- gtx460 either memory version, depends which goes on sale first.
RAM
I've chosen 2gb because I'm running 32-bit XP.
mobo
other mobo choice
I'm not 100% sure if they are good mobo choices, please make suggestions if you know of a better board for a very similar price.
If someone could verify that these would all work well together that would be great. Today is the last day for the rebate.
Thanks muchly.
First, my intentions for this build~
I wish to be able to play demanding games such as the Crysis and Stalker series at max (only 2xAA) at 1440x900 on a 19'' monitor. I am running XP 32-bit.
Secondly, here are some further notes about the build~
I have absolutely no intention of using more than 1 GPU at any time with this build. I don't particularly care for overclocking and have had unsatisfying results/failures in the past, so any overclocking that I do with this build will be safe and slight.
Here are the bits and pieces I already own and do not need to improve~
Hard drive, monitor, case, speakers, sound card (I use onboard sound), mouse, keyboard, dvd drive.
Alright here are my proposed parts~
GPU, gtx460
CPU, Athlon II x3 440
Mobo+PSU combo, total $100 shipped- http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.481560
RAM
I chose a 2GB RAM kit because I'm running XP 32-bit.
I just need to know if the RAM,mobo, and CPU are completely compatible. I'd also like to hear about any other RAM selections you think would fit my build well as long as its in a similar price range. Any insights you can provide about the list I've given will be helpful.
Thanks :)
Hi, I've been looking for a CPU to purchase around November (or sooner if it goes on a good sale) to go with my eventual gtx 460 purchase.
I play at 1440x900 on my 19'' and have no plans of upgrading my monitor anytime soon.
I'm wanting opinions on the best CPU to get the most out of a gtx460 with the specifications of playing the Stalker and Crysis series maxed (except for AA which I won't go over 2xAA) on my mentioned monitor's resolution.
I've had a few recommendations of the Athlon II X3 440 Rana saying that it will be the best bang for my buck for a gtx460 at my resolution. Its price is very affordable to me, being on a budget, but I could also afford a little more for a faster CPU if 440 wouldn't serve a gtx460 at 1440x900 well enough.
What do you think? I'm open to AMD or Intel suggestions. Please make suggestions that would serve a gtx460 at 1440x900 best, suggestions of more future proof CPUs will not help me.
Thanks.
Well then what is to happen to these deceased isolates who never had a chance to learn of a god? If they accept to learn about the god after death, and accept the learnings as the truth, then where are they sent? Is that determined by their actions in life even though they were completely without the idea of god, life after death, or morality?
