Its a luck based game and every weapons is practically a 1-hit-killer. Its more for mindless deathmatch people, and people who aren't very good at shooters because they can still get lucky kills consistently. I feel the same way you do.
Is it your monitor, speakers, or pc making the noise? I had a similar problem with my monitor when I played Vampire the masquerade. I had to do something with the set frequency in dxdiagnostics.
The game wasn't as epic as Ocarina of Time but the game experience was much more amazing to me. It had great atmosphere and had a much more lively world that was much more immersive. I think the design and characters were all original and felt more attached to them.
