Hey all,
I started my second semester today...and it was alright. Said hi to all my friends and then we all just like filling each other in on what we all did on the week long break we had. Nothing much else happened other then meeting our new teachers and seeing what our subjects were going to be for the next 5-6 months. My current subjects are : Shop Class (This is a class where you learn about mechanics and measurements and stuff, kind of like engines and stuff), Electronics (you learn about electronic circuit boards and electricity and energy. Also about the wires and other things that you can do with a properly soldered circuit board), English (self explanatory), and Science (self explanatory).
As of right now I'm just listening to music and chilling in my room. My mom bought me 2 starbucks Caramel Frappacinos and boy are they good :D. I love them. Well...one was hers but she gave me it so I ended up with 2. Just for a quick little tip here are the demos I've played recently :
Burnout 3
Forza Motorsports
Need For Speed Underground 2
Champion : Return to Arms
I know that 2 of them are already out but I played the other 2 already and they are pretty good builds. I don't know why Forza fans are so hyped...it's GT1 on Xbox...just online. I think I still might pick myself up a copy...it was pretty good.
I was wondering...do any of you (other then ShadeZero) know what the term "Drifting" mean (in the Racing world)? If not I would like to give out a brief but informative little tid bit about it...and for the professionals out there (like me :P) find a mistake, please let me know so that I can edit it.
Drifting is a style of driving that concerns that when you turn a corner, you put the car into a controlled 90 degree slide in which the car will slide around the apex of the turn while still staying on the track. With the steering wheel in full opposite lock in the direction opposite of the way you are going, the car will stay in control while completely sideways. When drifting you must remember to use proper steering and gas pedal techniques to keep the car in control.
ShadeZero and I have been racing like that in GT3 for the longest time I can believe. Everything is taken into account when setting up your car for this style of driving. It's not necessarily a racing type of driving..but if you do decide to race on a track while drifting, it's called D1 racing. If you decide to drift on mountain tracks, then it's called Initial D. As a matter of fact, there is a show in Japan called Initial D and it is based off the lives of average guys that race on mountains while drifting...it's quite amazing to watch (especially in real life).
Well I hope you found that enjoyable and informative to read...as it is something ShadeZero and I (and I'm pretty sure MANY people out there) love to do. Someday I'll buy a car and tune it to spec so that I can race Initial D style :D.
Well anyways...nothing much really is going on...I all of a sudden have an incredible crush on CounterStrike again. Not just for Xbox, but for CounterStrike in a whole. I recommend buying it for the platform that you have. You won't regret it!
I got CS 1.6 working on my computer yesterday somehow (with some choppy framerates...15FPS) but it was still enjoyable nonetheless...and as I was playing...I realized how DIFFERENT PC gaming is to Console gaming...and how much BETTER it is...(for shooters). I was just in shock....holding my mouse in one hand...my other hand resting on the "SHIFT", "W", "A", and "D" formation. I forgot what I've been missing. So that is why I'm building my PC. :D.
Well I'm going to go finish up here and then go play some Xbox for 6 hours. See you all later! I hope you had as much fun reading this as I have had writing for you! Thanks for reading. Peace.
Kevin
