@flipclic: Star Citizen's graphics are very rough yet. No AA, very inconsistent lighting and shadows due to messed up rendering settings, general LoDing issues, poor framerates (what good is a good looking game that can't be played well?), and the facial models are currently the placeholders which aren't very good. The game does have a huge amount of detail that, when they fix up the rendering and LoDing issues, will make for the best looking game ever. They still have a long way to go with that.
Yeah like I said the game is still in alpha, lot´s of features missing, nonetheless it looks good. I don't have poor framerates and my PC is from 2013 (i5, gtx660, 8gb). I play in low/medium settings and can take screenshots as good as anything posted in this thread:
@Berserker1_5:Star Citizen is in alpha/early release stage, it can be bought and it can be played so I don't see why it should be excluded since we are measuring Graphics not gameplay or story.
Also it´s not only about space ships, planets and spaceman's. There are also city´s with shops, hospital, bar´s, armoury's etc
Do alpha/early-access games count? Despite not fully released and incomplete gfx settings to push (no anti-alising etc) I think it already looks pretty good.
Despite being a MMO it's relying on a heavily modified CryEngine to push graphics so it squeezes the PC´s of the future. It has fully modelled inside & out ships that you can fly alone or with friends, fully modelled avatars that can be played in first person view or 3rd person view, Fully modelled real size Space Stations & Planets that you can fly around and in the future even land on them. No loading screens.
