People would just pirate the hell out of this if EA actually admitted failure and removed DRM in good faith to their customers. Sucks that there are honest people that got screwed and couldn't play what they paid for - but I think there are more people that just want free s/hit no matter what.
I never ceases to amaze me how humans can bitch entire retail chains out of business and have the balls to complain to their government about the lack of jobs as if they can actually do anything about it.
Keep pirating games and continue to be dissapointed with always on DRM. Keep requiring always on DRM and continue to face unbridled consumer rage justified or not. Pirating won't go away - and neither will developer and publisher attempts to stop it.
It's a kind of "damned if you do - damned if you don't" scenario isn't it?
