Then it is your own idiot fault for not taking advantage of a feature.

My current Jasper is pretty damn quiet whenever I play games. I just install them all.

BloodJunkie213

Installing the game I'm currently playing to my HDD was the best thing I've ever did. I ignored the feature before but now that Ive used it for RDR, when it comes to games that take time to finish I will always install them. Also, why are people still calling this damn thing the "slim" never once did Microsoft ever call said console "slim"

Thinkt it's the name that stuck...I move we start calling it Xbox 360 Shiny

Or the fingerprint magnet lol.

[QUOTE="Ultrabeatdown55"][QUOTE="6matt6"]1. Place CD into drive 2. Select Install option 3. Wait for installation to complete 4. enjoy no disc spinning during gameplay 5. ??????? 6. PROFITEllimem

I have no interest in installing games to my HDD. This is still a problem.

[QUOTE="acsam12304"]

[QUOTE="ionusX"]

you are correct bfg no longer sells video cards.. only laptops and power supplies now.. and actually if they manage to pull a rabbit out of their hat with the hd 6000 series they are tempted to go AMD (as by that time ati will be fully absorbed by amd and the lineup afterwords will no longer carry the ati logo) much like club 3d did oh so long ago during the fx 5000 series days.

rumors persist albatron will be coming with if bfg does decide to go amd as they dont turn much of a profit from gpu's and the bigger paycheck is their ultimate goal.

ionusX

but why on there web site they are adverticing the GTX 470/480? i wonder if they ever made any

they had plans too they even had photo's of them but the press doesnt lie.. here ill dig up the article:

http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=24696

I wish that whole "selling power supplies" was still the plan. But they're totally done now. http://hardocp.com/news/2010/08/16/bfg_accepting_rmas_fermi_blamed_for_company_liquidation/

Extremely, I just got finished playing the demo, and it left me with that smile where you know you have to play the full game, when you walk away wanting more. Not a whole hell of a lot of demos have had that effect in the last few years. It's really good to see that it still keeps the same feeling of the first. It's a tad more arcade feeling in the "speed" of which your character moves, and the driving leaves something to be desired, but over all, I'm looking forward to it. There is another thread around here where people are posting their system specs and their benchmark results. Over all this game is extremely optimized, however, I can vouch for this, turning physics to even low causes MAJOR performance issues, even on my 480gtx. My benchmark run was 201max fps with a 98 avg, 2048x1152, everything max, AA on, no physix to 32max with 24avg with it on. Seems extremely lob sided. On that note, I didn't feel as if I was missing anything game wise by not using it. But I'm sure it's on of those things where once you've played the game WITH it, you wont be able to go without.

[QUOTE="Swiftstrike5"][QUOTE="fm_coyote"] FPS: Max 82. Avg 65-75. Lowest 62. 100% accurate test, not really. But I did my best to constantly watch. Hope that helps in a comparison sense. I know for a fact that the 5970 is a beast of a card. A very good friend and lan mate of mine runs one. He plays on a 23" LG and from what I saw at the last lan we attended the game was butter smooth on max settings. I'm unsure of his AA and AF settings and such though. Visually it looked stunning so I'm assuming where was a decent amount. Have you exchanged the card? It is quite possible that you got a faulty one. I was running a 5870 before I went back to Nvidia, and my first card was a dud. Happens to all makes and models, it's quite possible. I hope you have luck fixing your issue.

Nice results, but from my experience, the multiplayer FPS is significantly lower than singleplayer and far less stable.

True enough, but I wanted a test for him to judge pure performance, without tossing in the variables of internet speed, server connection / stability, and lag.

Heya. I was reading over all the posts and decided to hop in game and see if I can supply any info that might help. Current settings are as follows. 2048x1152 resolution. All Detail levels set to High. 4x MSAA 8x AF. Vsync Off. HBAO On. System Specs: i7 930 stock 2.8GHz. Asus Rampage II gene. 6GB Corsair ram. PNY GTX 480, Stock speeds. I loaded up the 3rd level, Heart of Darkness and walked through normally continuously noob tubin' the houses. I kept my eye on the fps 90% of the time, except for lining up max damage shots. FPS: Max 82. Avg 65-75. Lowest 62. 100% accurate test, not really. But I did my best to constantly watch. Hope that helps in a comparison sense. I know for a fact that the 5970 is a beast of a card. I don't know. I personally did not like any of the "branch off" games for Resident Evil. Outbreak, Code Veronica, that silly shooter, and so on. I do not think it would get much support and I'm a hugh fan of the series.

FIREKNIGHT19
I agree with you, but Code Veronica on dreamcast I really did enjoy. Personally, I don't like the fast paced changes they've made to the series. I'd love to see RE1 remade, a lot can be done to bring it to today's expectations too. Maybe a bit more frequent encounters of 2-3 zombies less resources, etc. That game could produce wonders with today's tech, regardless of platform. My two cents anyway :) lol

I was using TVersity for the longest time. I just found Playstation Media Server today. http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/ It's extremely streamlined, you don't have to set up a thing. Just open the program, it will detect your PS3 and you can stream from whatever folder you select. I had formatted and forgot to reinstall tversity, and now I'm going to give this a try for a bit. So far it's been perfect.

Friends of mine were having a discussion that how WoW is dead to us. We were discussing how easy the game is now for guilds to raid and our memories of 40 man raids, and AV battleground taking 5mins to play isnt as fun as it was before.(I remember it took hours to get into an AV T_T)

So those of you who play WoW what do you guys prefer Pre BC, Pre Wrath, or Wrath.

Do you like where Blizzad has taken this game? I hear many on these forums and other places saying that the new xpansion will be as good as pre-bc but I just can't believe that. I mean jesus christ raids back then actually had to have some thought in them and were actually difficult for guilds to pass. Now since 10 mans are going to be more popular I don't even see a point anymore for raids. *sigh* I just hate to see this game become what it is.

MrLions
I still remember getting into an AV. logging out hours later, going to bed, waking up, and then getting into the SAME AV as I was in 10 hours before. Vanilla wow was a challenge.. Wrath.. meh, but I still play.

[QUOTE="DanielDust"]Hopefully to "blow away" doesn't refer to the Battlefield fans, because BC 2 already blew away some of them. It can be as bad as BC 2 but they should at least include some mod tools this time, I'd rather make my own maps instead of getting those "awesome", "free" maps.

I agree with everything you said. I STILL love BF2 and play it constantly, but I also play BC2 a lot and enjoy it. I realized from the start though, that you can't compare the two games. The bad company line is its own entity, with a different style almost, at least imo anyway. Once I took it for its own game I loved it that much more. However, I know right now when BF3 hits I wont touch BC2 again lol.
