It would probably be a financially beneficial joint venture for both. On the games front, the consumer wins. My fear would be that the venture would adopt the Microsoft business practices to which I take great exception (overpriced HDs, charge kits for controllers, online fees, etc.). As long as there were no undue Microsoft Milkage, I would be happy withthis partnership.

[QUOTE="forrester_fire"]Same here, I even go as back as Atari 2600.I don't care about graphics. I still play old NES games, and they're pixelated 8-bit graphics.

My first gaming experience was a 2600 I got for x-mas in 1986. I thought I was asking for an NES, lol. I was too young to know better. The only game I recall being remotely playable was Pitfall. I couldn't go back and play Atari games.
The last FPS I played was the 1st "Resistance", and that was only because of a lack of options for launch titles. So that's a big "No" for me.
call of duty has the best competitive multiplayer experience hands down, forget the ratings.....battlefield 3 hype, over priced map packs, rehashing...yadi yoda....its still the best multiplayer experience on consoles. if it wasnt like that, people wouldnt play it ever day and all night.

A lot of people love Katy Perry and Lady Gaga's music, but I can't stomach either. Popularity =/= quality. Different strokes for different folks...
So by that logic Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are some of the greatest musicians in history?? Sales =/= Quality.[QUOTE="youngmurk911"]if it wasnt like that, people wouldnt play it ever day and all night.

[QUOTE="forrester_fire"][QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"] You don't need to point the screen. Only specific weapons require that, most of the time you just hold it however you want. TP's controls were just waggle though, Skyward Sword will be amazing no doubt.Bread_or_Decide
I should also note that I hate using the d-pad too.
I love that I could hold the wii and nunchuk in two seperate hands spread out across my lap. Very comfortable. The analog on the nunchuck sucks though. It's like the N64, which was good for its time but is outdated now. I prefer a full 360 degress on an analog rather than that 8 direction analog on the nunchuck.
Listen, I'm not a Wii basher. I'm just stating that I expected to enjoy the console and really have not. I'm in my early 30s. I loved Nintendo when I was a kid. I still love the SNES and N64. I have not liked the Wii.

Well, you're just full of excuses aren't you?
You call "reasons" "excuses"? Sorry, I had a hard time playing Mario World and New Super Mario Brothers because:
A. I stopped getting video game thumb from using D-Pads back in the late 90s and don't like the feeling of returning to those days
B. I'm on a keyboard and mouse all day at work and I feel like I'm getting carpal tunnel from pointing the Wiimote.
It's 2011 and Analog controls have been standard since the PS1. We should not be using D-Pad other than fighting games, which I don't play.
