Oh dear lord Jesus. To the christians who are making christians look bad... Yup, you. Listen up. According to the bible, we are all -every single one of us- born as sinners. Not as people who commit sins. You are born into what it refers to as a "sin nature" meaning you cannot, through any works of any sort, avoid hell. You are bound to burn. Deal with it. According to said Bible, Jesus rescues you from that and offers you life after death. However, while on earth, you are still a sinner. You are no better than any of the people you condemn, and in fact by exhibiting such hatred with your "turn or burn" attitude, you become worse. God judges the judges as harshly as the accused. Sin is sin. You're equally at fault. Jesus came to offer life, not condemn. Read your own scriptures before attacking without justification.

@sammoth We did play the same Mass Effect games didn't we? Because you could not have a homosexual relationship in those. Unless you're referring to the asari... although I suppose one could included Kelly in that list, although she doesn't actually count as love interest, as far as the game is concerned

@meeerkat456 Precisely, and likewise. Refreshing to be able to have an actual conversation instead of being flamed for attempting a discussion. Good day to you

@geitenvla I never implied I had any. In fact I expressly said there was none which firmly proved anything either way, as your article demonstrated. So if you want research for my stance, I point you towards your own link. It works towards my opinion as much as yours. I see chemical imbalances, and a lot of maybes. Thats all.

@meeerkat456 To this I will agree. "It" makes me uncomfortable, yes I will accept that statement. They, however, do not. That is my main point here. We've had discussions on this multiple times, we know each others views and respect them. The fact that my stance may or may not work against their welfare is not entirely relevant. No more than if we were discussing politics. I and another may support different political stances. Those stances my each negatively affect the other in some way. But it doesn't change our beliefs. If you voted for say Party A and I told you that his being from Denmark somehow negatively impacts my social standing if he gets office, you wouldn't just suddenly stop supporting him, would you? It all boils down to personal beliefs and convictions

@geitenvla I'll admit the man did research. But I see a lot of "may"s. Hardly solid proven fact. It also only reinforces my opinion that its a mental anomaly.

@geitenvla Source? "My proof lies in the fact..." Come on buddy, don't try and demand proof if you can't provide it yourself. I can give the same argument. I could give the whole "Sexuality is for reproduction" spiel, you see reproduction all around you as well, whether you like it or not. By this logic, homosexuality is not natural because no offspring are produced, Using animals as a reference doesn't help, because without offspring the species ceases to exist.

@meeerkat456 You have proved my point. Yes, traits you disapprove of. You still enjoy the person. They're still good people, just with issues. It doesn't mean you have a problem with the person, just the issue. No different than my friends who smoke. I don't smoke, I don't think one should. But they're still my buddies. I don't have any problem with them, just their cigs

@geitenvla "To classify something single handed as a disorder, you at least have to back it up with some trustworthy authority. You can't just go around and make statements like that without some proof other than your own opinion." This statement is as faulty as anything I have said. If this is the case, where is your proof then? You are simply giving your opinion in the same manner as I. There has been no hard proven scientific evidence either way. Anything we say from this point is simply opinion. @peter834 "I feel physically sick at reading your comment that being gay is a disorder. There must be something wrong with YOU to make such a vile statement. I think you need to take a hard look at yourself in the mirror, you are a shameful and pittiful person. Have you ever though about if you were gay and how you would feel if people discriminated against you in such a disgusting way. You are in my opinion nothing more than filth, you should be utterly ashamed of yourself!" Again, dear, I do not in any way discriminate. Use some logic instead of flaring emotions. I have repeatedly stated "disorder" is not an inherently terrible thing. Nor I do harbor any ill feeling towards my good friends who have said disorder. Think of how you appear by attempting to attack me, does that help your argument? No.
