http://www.gamespot.com/star-wars-episode-i-jedi-power-battles/platform/ps/ ^My favorite example of this. Low score, and certainly not a very polished game. But its just a crap ton of fun. I spent as many hours on this as I did in Oblivion, just because it was so darned fun to play.
@Livefantasy7 True gamer? What is this kindergarten? Grow up, dear. Throwing insults about doesnt make you seem any less of a thumbsucker than those you accuse. Zelda is a superb title, and COD is as well, for what it offers. They're two very different animals. Comparing COD's campaign to Zelda's as a whole is foolish. Just as comparing Zelda multiplayer -which obviously doesnt exist- to COD's would be. If your definition of getting your money's worth is time spent playing, I assure you, the COD folks get their money's worth from the time they spend on the competitive multiplayer.
I love how back before the game was finished, one guy said the graphics looked like they were lacking, and since then everyone has jumped on the bandwagon and continues to bash the graphics of Black Ops. Truth is, they've been improved since that initial statement was made, and are in fact better than MW2. Look at the shadows and texture mapping people. It's not a huge improvement, but it is there.
"At the end of the day it's about competing for free time from the player. Over the years my free time has become more precious--I have a wife, kids, a house to run, etc. Facebook and other social media eats into this time, meaning there’s less and less of it. Some developers see social gaming as an opportunity but at the end of the day we’re all fighting for the free time of our consumers" Couldn't agree more.
