this thread is actually one of the most compelling cases for technocracy i've seen to date, zappa

dude_brahmski

I concur.

It's Aristotle's and Plato's theory of democracy on fast forward.

[QUOTE="0rbs"]

[QUOTE="ThaneKrios28"] do you donate money to the poor? if not i highly suggest you stop wile your ahead because you cant preach something if you yourself dont do itlamprey263

Every month. Also do soup kitchens before church twice a month. What do YOU do?

NASA's funding is only a drop in the bucket of our nation's spending, it's just under $18 billion. There are much greater wastes of funds, such as military defense spending. In a single year the military budget spends more money than the entire NASA budget to date. Plus NASA's spending is economically stimulative, creating new aerospace companies, creating for technological advancements in just about every facet of society, creates jobs and generates tax revenues. Anyhow, what do you really think would happen if say some right wing congress decided NASA was a waste and decided to cut its funding entirely? They'd kill it without hesitation, even if feeding the needy was a justification. Then when it came to actually using that saved $18 billion to feed the needy, do you think they'd actually do it? Hell no they wouldn't. They'd probably cut the Department of Energy, Department of Education, Department of Whatever, and pass tax cuts for the wealthy, cut all kinds of regulations on workplace and environmental safety, abolish the minimum wage, abolish child labor laws, abolish civil rights laws, abolish abortion, and still feeding the needy will take a back seat to a day of golfing for John Boehner. Now stop making threads and go get a bottle of hooch for your daddy before he ends up beating you with the buckle side of the belt. Summer is coming, when daddy sends you to that faux-religious right wing brainwashing Jesus camp I'm sure that "I fell down the stairs" excuse is going to get old, they might start asking if your daddy touches you and bring out a doll to point to the spots.

Wrong!!!

there are few things more important then defence, the only thing i can think of is education.

[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]Ah America and your gun crimes.EagleEyedOne
I'd rather live in a country with gun crimes than one that locks up serial killers like Norways Breivik for a maximum of 21 years.

I hate agreeing with trolls...but i fully endorse that statement.

To bad the writing has gone down the toilet, there hasn't been an interesting episode since tennant.

Don't get me wrong though, i love mat smith, i just hate where the show has been going recently.

Kids like this pop up from time to time but in practice they are not all that impressive.

Ever wonder why you never here any major physics breakthrough coming from autistic 14 year olds? It's because while they can learn to replicate the math (not understand it) they do not understand the purpose and goals of physics and are completely incapable of contributing to the field.

The only time savants innovate is in mathematics and even that is rare, applied sciences and physics are to broad in scope for them to handle so they focus on what already exists not making new theories.

[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="DevilMightCry"] First off, neo conservatism doesnt even describe me. So its just a word being thrown around like its supposed to be offensive against someone you know nothing about, and hope it sticks in an argument, when you werent even called upon to argue. Second off all, I am a liberal, libertarian, and a conservative. And since the only viable party that can win that represents my views is the Republican, I am force to vote Republican. Dont see what the big deal is. You tend to attack me every chance you get. So, you must have some personal anger you cant get rid off, because apparently me just being here sets you off. DevilMightCry
I guess you've drastically changed your views since the election then? Nothing I've ever seen you say is in line with classical liberal ideals. Why do you view neo-con as an insult?.

Calling someone a neo-con is like me calling your or Obama communists. And nothing has changed since the last election. I am still a non pot smoker favoring legalization, still fiscally and military conservative. Still personally not for gay marriage, but if people decided in my state that's what we want then fine. I believe in Representative Democracy. Still against the Iraq war, but all for defense where we need it. Still against Patriot Act and drone strikes. Still against big and expanding government and Social and corporate welfare. I mean I could go on, and on, and still wouldn't be "neo-con".

Sounds pretty neo-conservative to me.

Objective moral values do not exist. No meta-ethical framework can be proven to be "true".Rhazakna

Thank you, i hate when people think the universe is so human centric.

[QUOTE="dramaybaz"]5/5 and I am not American.dramaybaz

Glad you can operate with a handicap.

Me handicap? While 86% of you can't even do it. I Just put it there because the survey targeted Americans, so I should not be taken as part of the sample, that's it. Are you guys so dumb and insecure that you get butthurt over everything? Things that are not even there.. It isn't even worth arguing..

It was a light hearted jab... should have used a smiley.
