I have a friend who is trying to convince me that Georgia is not how I imagine it to be. But I keep reading stories like this that tell me otherwise.LJS9502_basic
I lived in Georgia for awhile. Didn't really seem like that different than other states I lived in....

i'm talking from personal exp (masters in aeronautical engineering(working on Phd) and a ba in physics). are double parentheticals allowed?

plus i would say 100k a year is a pretty average starting pay in my profession.

I don't believe that. I know that co ops in aerospace engineering were having trouble finding jobs, and I really doubt that with a bachelors you start at 100k a year unless you had a very good gpa and had a good research position or something.

1. i have a masters.

2 being an embry riddle alumni(which i am) helps a metric ton in the aeronautics industry.

3. aerospace is not the same as aeronautical. aerospace can refer to 3 things: astronautics, aeronautics and propulsion.

propulsion is a little niche and astronautics has taken a hit (in florida at least) , but aeronautics has always been a great field to be in.

4. why wouldn't you have a good GPA/research position you can get both of those from pure hard work.

Yes and no, from my understanding, the market in terms of getting a job isn't bad, but the pay isn't damn near as good as people make it out to be. Plus, progessing up the ladder as an engineer becomes increasingly harder, and many people never really come close to maxing out their salaries in a lot of engineering fields.

In reference to the parentheticals: Sure, why not? I'm guessing that's 100k with the masters though?

a masters is required just to have the job. and having a professional degree bumps up your pay 50k-100k plus you get to put your name on anything you cerifiy(bridge, boat,plane...ect). plus once yo get your phd you can tour colleges and they will pay you to lecture which is my retirement plan btw.

unless its a math/engineering degree then you will be swarmed with jobs.
I'm sure many of these people don't want to work at fast food their whole life, but the market won't let them do what they want to do with their life. Because the job they desire isn't available or out of reach.

It's not like if you work at mcdonald's, that's all you can do. Go to community college or something when you're off. Learn about cars, get in with a car shop, etc. You just gotta work your ass off.

either way i hope these dumb sh!ts are all fired or,,,, wait lets reduce their pay by 60% instead, undeserving leeches.

if these people think they are a respected member of the working class they are wrong. they arent factory workers, they arent manual laborers, they arent farm hands and they arent daycare workers...ect, they are burger flipper's. And if they think that they deserve pay any where close to the actual working class then f@ck them
anecdotal evidence is not the same as hard science, and in this case, I reiterate, studies have consistently shown that beating causes mental deficiencies, even in IQ.

Shottayouth13-

You falsely assume that one child rearing method will work for all children. All children are not the same. In any event, show me these facts.[/there are a million and one better ways of raising kids that don't involve beating, but it is easier just to hit your kids then be a parent. why exert mental effort to solve a problem when you can just shake it till it stops crying?

Lol you think beatings are the easy way out? And if you've been following what I've been saying, I did say that after they've been beaten that children should be reassured of their parent's love, and be given reasons as to why what they did was wrong. That is good and effective parenting.

if you can't solve a problem without hitting something that's your own idiocy.
