Things to get from this comparison: 1) Both the 360 and the PS3 can produce some impressive graphics. The differences seen here are negligible. Enjoy the system you have, or ideally, own both so you don't miss out on any exclusives. 2) All the "hardware experts" trolling game sites don't really know much. Simply rattling off features does not mean you know anything about computer architecture. 3) All the hype you hear from industry insiders like Kutaragi should be taken with a grain of salt. Why should anyone take information from an exec trying to sell their product as unadulterated truth? ;) 4) Fanboys will always cry "CONSPIRACY" when their point of view is not validated. :)

@Dasim64 Who is saying that the PC version isn't the best looking? I agree. On the other hand I don't agree that there is much difference between the PS3 and 360 versions outside of color saturation and possibly contrast (both of which can be tweaked). Take a look at the close up of the old lady. Look at her choker. The textures for both the PS3 and the 360 are equally poor. The PC version on the other hand is SIGNIFICANTLY better. As to which version to get that really depends on the person. If you don't have a capable PC or you prefer the plug and play convenience of a console, than obviously the PC version is not for you. Otherwise getting the PC version is a no brainer. If you the console version and you do have both consoles, then the decision is not as clear. As I've said before I don't think the differences are great at all, and apart from Gamespot I have yet to read another review that has pointed out a difference between the PS3 and 360 versions graphically. However reviews have consistently stated that the PS3 version has frame rate issues. So I guess it's up to whether you want arguably sharper graphics or smoother action. I chose the latter, but to each his own.

You do pay more for a gaming PC, but that isn't why I'm not a PC gamer. I simply prefer the plug and play convenience that consoles offer. Regardless of whether you do your gaming on a PC or on a 360/PS3, if you like RPGs than you should definitely check out Dragon Age. I've had a blast with it thus far :).

@Kevin-V I have to disagree. To me the biggest difference between the PS3 and 360 images is color saturation, with the 360 images looking washed out in comparison to their PS3 counterparts. This can definitely be tweaked by fiddling with your display :). Upping the contrast would also help. In terms of textures and bump mapping take a look at the close up of the old lady, concentrating on her choker. The difference in textures/bump mapping between the 360 and PS3 versions is negligible. The PC version however is clearly superior. I guess when it comes to comparisons such as this it is simply subjective. In my opinion the 360 and PS3 versions of the game look equally poor. You prefer the visuals of the PS3 version. To each his own. At least we both agree that the game is great! :) I ended up purchasing the 360 version simply because an erratic frame rate would annoy me more than arguably fuzzier textures. I also happen to love those achievement points XD.

There is very little difference between the PS3 and 360 versions that couldn't be fixed by tweaking the settings on your display. The PC version on the other hand definitely looks superior to either console version (no surprise there). From the initial batch of reviews read, Gamespot seemed to be the only site that stated that the graphics were significantly superior on the PS3. IGN, 1up and a few other sites didn't mention any difference in graphically fidelity between the PS3 and 360 versions, and based on the above screenshots I'm inclined to agree.

Things that are wrong with the industry.....hmm....

1) Success in the videogames industry usually means catering to the lowest common denominator (just look at the Wii's success).

2) Many gamers lack the ability to think for themselves. I am honestly sick and tired of listening to gamers say "Review site X gave game Y a poor review so I am not getting it/cancelling my preorder". In case you've missed the newsflash sheep aren't smart. 3) Incessant sequels devoid of significant improvement. Look what this has done to the Tony Hawk franchise, and what it will eventually do to other franchises like Guitar Hero, COD, Madden, FIFA, etc. Roster updates, and different song sets do not justify spending \$60. 4) Fanboys. Every system has at least a handful of games worth playing. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a fanboy :). 5) Stupid execs. We do not need another Ken Kutaragi, Julian Eggebrecht, David Jaffe, Derek Smart (XD) and so on. Marketing your product is fine. Spewing garbage is NOT marketing. Keep your trashtalking for the online gaming arena :).
