you guys probably come from the US I think.

Here in Europe all games are on dvd and the big cardboard boxes are long gone.

I kinda think it's retarted to release a game on 4 or more cd'roms wich can fit easily on 1 or maybe max 2 dvd-rom.

(plus I would go insane if I had to change cd 6 times when I install a game)

and let's face it who the f*** on this planet only has a cd-rom drive in his pc ?????.........

oh well nice to see some country's wasting plastic

I ain't angry on the makers of crytec but I have to say......... starting to get scared

because I have a e6600 2 gb ramm a 8800gtx half a year now or so.

but with games like crysis and even if I look at the bench in world in conflict.....I am starting to think that my pc sucks :S

I see my 8800gtx performing on high but it's struggling to get nice frame-rates.

I am afraid this dx 10 gen will end the same way the geforce 5 series did with dx 9

also with recommended specs I am just above it so how long before I will go under ?

The hardware is changing faster and faster ......if you want to play games in full glory it's almost impossible to keep up with upgrading.

I hope this system will last me 2 years but I think it won't even my e6600 is just above remanded

plus it's hard to trust the system requirements with all these diferent cpu's you have singel cores pentium d amd x2 core duo quad core........ (in the good old days you only had to check the mhz lol)

and keep in mind that watercooling is good for overclokking but I still would use a case fan as the other components on my motherboard like a decent cool airflow 2

A pc is much more fun for me I like upgrading and fine tuning my system I even enjoy opening the box :D

plus I can do a lot more with it than any console can.

But every one has to choose for them self's what they like.

I find it kinda sad that a lot of console-kids use arguments that games sell better or more on consoles, I mean does a sales rate guaranty quality ??

a lot of bad music also sells a lot does that make it good music then ?

and because a few other people buy a over hyped game it does that mean it must be good ?? or better then a game developed by less known developers ?

If you want to play games, don't get Vista, its such a hassle. My friend got a new pc with vista installed and half of his games wouldn't even run! Basically there are still a lot of redundant features in Vista that will complain for absolutely no reason and stop your game from running.

Examples:

-BF2142 1.25 patch won't install.

-GRAW 2 won't even run.

-Halo 2(which is Vista only!) won't run and gives an error that some other process that probably has nothing to do with Halo 2 and isn't even running, is running.

Basically there are still some huge problems with just running Vista, when I used it it felt like a beta version. I hope SP1 fixes it up a little.

nathris

won't run graw 2 ??? I wonder wich game i have been playing then ?

Ignore all above posts !

a dimension 9200 also known as an xps410

will fit a gtx you will even have space to spare and the powersupply will handle fine

Dell also sells them with 8800 gtx's

The power supply has good 12v wire but you wil need a splitter.

I my self have a 9200 with a 8800gtx (if you ask why it was way cheaper that way then building it my self sometimes they have good offers ;) )

SCREW INTEL! Get an AMD processor because they are cheaper and more reliable than intel chips. For example you can purchase a 6000+ from Newegg for $170 and it is a 3 ghz dual core chip. If you must have a quad core wait for a few months until the Phenom quad core chips are released.Raider762

and you base this on ??? p.s. picking a bigger font makes this look like yelling

a amd is not more reliable then a intel......where the hell did you get this from ?

......I smell a fan-boy and oh dear it stinks
