@MXVIII @fredlamirande I am aware, but the prototype they showed was a space sim and there is a pretty good chance it will be release in some way in the future
I've seen CCP showing a prototype demo using the Oculus Rift with the current EVE online engine this weekend where the user controlled a fighter craft. I think there might be a resurgence in space sims in the near future, which in my opinion, a little competition never hurts =D
Any change of setting would be welcomed in the world of "AAA" multiplayer FPS. It doesn't have to take place in the future in my opinion and It could also be in a completely fictional universe. I think I've seen enough of the Middle east and Russia now.
@Timstuff Or maybe people are just getting super exited about a conference that was meant for other developers on the creative process of the game and both Bungie and Gamespot are trying to capitalize on all that sudden popularity. Everything we're seeing here was only meant for the hardcore Bungie fans and the dev community. They probably have an information release schedule like everyone else and now they are trying to keep this sudden interest alive until E3, but it's doing them a disservice really.
I don't care about the part where they say it's to combat piracy, every time I move it takes up to 2 weeks to get a new internet connection where I live and the connection sucks... I really despise this feature.
