i agree on that point human for core i7 anyway it depend of reoslution ur playing for ur budget you should say what resoltution you expect 1280x1024 ? 1680x1050 ? 1920x1200 that will highly change the need of the cpu / video card but in major party the video cardmarcthproThe resolution wont change the gpu or cpu requirement, just the monitor requirement. All current gpu's support 1900x1200 so thats irrelevant. I say OC that cpu to 2.4ghz and get a 4870 and a 500w psu and you will be set for less than $400 if you can find a good deal. Your ram and mobo may bottleneck your gpu, so it isnt beyond reason to believe that you may have to upgrade your mobo and ram as well. But if it was me, I would try the gpu/psu upgrade first before I go and get a mobo and new ram.
