As a big fan of the GT series I think that Forza beats it hands down. One of the reasons I got an original xbox was for Forza and I havn't looked back. Forza is better in every way (except replays, they suck).

I love my 360, awesome games but the hardware is garbage. I have 2 in my household, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Living room 360 is on no. 3 and just sending the one in my bedroom away with it's 1st RROD. So far that makes 2 RROD and one disk drive failure. Thats pretty poor. But so far it hasn't cost me anything but postage to fix.

I don't see the 1st starcraft as being dated, it's still the best RTS in history. It can be picked up very quickly and played in a very basic form or played in a very advanced way using strategies I don't even the the blizzard thought of. So no, I don't think Starcraft II will be outdated at all.

Blizzard. One of the few dev's you can count on, almost 100% strike rate.

The point of rock band and GH is to mimmick the feeling of playing guitar not to emulate.

I love the people that hate on rock band or GH and say "Get a real guitar!!"

Pinkyimp

I think the reason that a lot of people hate on Guitar Hero is that it promotes mediocrity. Yes its a fun game, but at the end of the day, you're still just waving a plastic, Fischer-Price toy in the air, being proud and boastful of your playing "skillz," but still know diddly about how to play music, or at the very least have done something worthwhile involving something more than learning how to press five colored buttons in sequence. I seriously think that, in 3-5 years, the fake instrument genre will have exhausted itself and the more mature among us will hang our heads in shame at how ridiculous we looked playing (Plastic) Guitar Hero, despite how fun it was at the time.

For some perspective: I'm a beginning guitarist, and I just learned how to play 'White Christmas,' on my Schecter (a real guitar). Its an easy song to learn, but I got more satisfaction from being able to play it than when I mastered 'Jordan' on hard difficulty.

yea because the game in its own right is hard.. and for people who never played a real guitar finishing TTFAF on expert is a huge accomplishment, but i sure as hell don't want to play the real thing... its a fun game, it has nothing to do with reality, in fact im more impressed if my son could play the real guitar than play guitar hero, its just good clean fun. but i also agree that people need to realize that just because you can finish one song, doesn't mean your the greatest guitar player ever, because your not... hell you probably cant read the note sheet

I don't think there is anything wrong with people playing guitar hero for fun, but I can't relate to it very well because I play guitar. Guitar hero just seems like a waste of time to me. Also being able to read sheet music has nothing to do with your ability as a guitarist.

I'll be getting this. I'm teaching myself guitar now and it's difficult. This could be just what I need. If only they offered some more songs though.TMontana1004

It will probably help your learning, but the best way is still by ear. I'm not sure if learning entirely to play of a screen is a good thing. On expert mode it should hide the notes.

I wonder if it will actually teach you anything, seems heaps better than guitar hero which totally doesn't interest me at all. Then again it shouldn't considering I can play most of the songs on a real guitar. It's funny though, some of the songs on guitar hero on expert mode are harder to learn than if you did it by scratch on real guitar.
