X-Com Withdrawal Solved

Managed to get a hold of some working versions of all 3 X-coms. (UFO Enemy Unknown, Terror from the Deep, and Apocalypse) And enjoyin em greatly!

Although I always get a rocky start in UFO and get cancelled late in the game, I still love it! And TFTD is brand new to me, and REALLY hard thus far. Apocalypse is relatively easy at the start, but it gets BLOODY hard later on if you don't get some serious firepower.

Anyhow, these 3 games'll keep me occupied for awhile.

LOST Redeems Itself In Spectacular Finale!

Good bloody god! That finale of the second season of LOST blew me away! I'm not going to blab everything that happened here, but I must say that I thought the show was gettin a little slow until tonight!

For those of you who don't watch it (which is ALOT of you, going by the current poll on Gamespot) I suggest it! This show starts as an intriguing tragic plane crash and leads up to nearly inexplicable mysteries!

Once again. HOLY McCRAP on the finale! It's like the Clone High very special two part episode; All your answers will be questioned and all your questions will be answered! There's no end to the mystery!

Lotsa Pay... Every DAY!

Well, that summer job I mentioned before, while nice paying, can really suck your brain out your ear! As long as the weather stays nice, I have to work 11 hours a day EVERY day! It just rained today and the clouds don't seem to be leaving, so HOPEFULLY I'll get a few days off.

Still... when one long weekend yields $1200, you can't be THAT frustrated with it.

Back on the Farm

Well, out of university for the summer and moved in back home to work a summer job that pays too much to pass up.

Only problem I have with this is that there is no Walmart, Future Shop, EB Games, or even a lousy Zellers within a 100 kilometer radius (that's probably about 60 or so miles for you empiracle scale people)! That, and my dial-up connection, though it claims to be a 19 to 21 kbps connection, I can't get more than 1 or 2 kbps out of it.

Oh well, I put up with it for years before university, I can do it again.

Scary Movie 4 Disappoints All But Me!

My taste in movies is apparently different than everyone else's. I loved Scary Movie 4! It was another worthy addition to the series.

I'm not gonna go into details on why I liked the movie, mainly due to the randomness of the show. I'll just say, if you liked the other 3, check this one out!

Silent Hill a Mountain of a Movie!

Went to go see Silent Hill, a movie I was excited to see since I heard it was in development! No disappointments here (well...except some minor story details)!

First off, the show looked BEAUTIFUL! The special effects were wonderfully done and created amazingly dark and creepy environments! Even when I thought they were gonna let it go dark without gettin to see the amazing transformation of the room, the flashlights come on and give satisfaction!

I never played the game, but, the beautiful thing about game movies these days is that you don't need to play the game to like the movie (Hell, half the time the movie has deviated a crapload from the game)! The storyline was well written and flowed nicely throughout the show...untill the end... (let you guys decide that for yourselves).

So, if it's playing near you, grab up some spare change and check it out!

Stubbs Claims My Computer's Brain Not Good Enough!

Well, I got curious and purchased Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse. Well, as expected, it would not run on my low end laptop, so I went home the weekend of buying it.

Unexpectedly, it didn't work there either! That computer meets every requirement on the box and in the readme (except a Creative Labs Soundblaster of course), yet the bloody piece of zombified crap will not work! I'm on the search for help with this problem but anyone else who may know what the hell is up please suggest it!

Ever Harvest Your Vegetables By The Pale Moonlight?

Well, being a long time fan of the Harvest Moon series, I decided to try out the first installment for the Gamecube. It's a Wonderful Life is an alright game I have to say, but it's lacking SO much when compared to the 64 version and even more when compared to the original PS version.

Still, the graphics are ok and I imagine that's how it scored it's 8.something with Gamespot reviewers. Kind of glitchy (I haven't had rain in 2 months, even though the TV said it WAS raining) and kind of corny at parts, but they say there's a lot to be seen yet, so I'm keepin my hopes up!

And, since I was in the mood, I downloaded the original SNES version. First played, 3rd best on my list, hehe.

Grim Fantastic!

Well, took a chance and got me Grim Fandango. I just heard so much good about it over the years, I figured I'd give it a shot.

And WOW! That game, though a linear adventure with no different endings or fighting, I still enjoyed it more than most games I've played.

If you haven't gotten the chance, go spend $10 at a bargain bin and pick it up!

Happy 19th!

Hehe, today's the day! For those of you who don't know, legal drinking age here in Saskatchewan, Canada is 19! Life officially begins here! Hehe.
