well same I were to buy one just cuz I kinda need a computer which one should I buy, i was leaning more to option 4, and then possibly in the future upgrading the graphics card, does it make any sense to do that? What other upgrades would eventually need to be made? Thanks a lot for your help I'm completely lost but your help is awesome.

To turn Computer #4 into a decent gaming machine, you want to spend about $250 to get a quality PSU and a good graphics card. I know the 7900GS in my area (sacramento, CA) is on sale for $100.

Halo 2 requires Vista, I believe, not DX10

Not if you want to run it DX10. Truth is, any integrated graphics solution is unacceptable for gaming. I have a computer similar to #2, and I tried playing COD2 with everything possible turned to minimum and I averaged 16 fps.

Ok, do you have your ASUS motherboard manual?

That's the first place you should look.

The only thing I can say is that you will definitely need a DX10 GPU if you want to run Hellgate: London. You might want to think of having another company prebuild your computer and ship it to you, like Dell, or Cyberpower.

But to answer your question, computers 1, 3, and 4 are the most powerful, but if you want to install a video card, you're going to need a new PSU as well.

the most basic way is to go into the BIOS and change the CPU frequency, but there are things like the FSB that have to be factored in. I haven't overclocked my CPU much. I took it to 2.6, then I brought it back down.

I don't want to go into specifics but there are different ways. Try googling it, or going to the Overclocking Union. Anyway, the Cooler Master Liquid Cooling system is alright. I'm guessing it's the Aquagate model? Anyway, you can probably take it to 2.4, 2.6 pretty easily. And don't worry, your CPU is probably one of the higher end models in the Socket 939 line.

BTW, I would change your sig to say Corsair instead of ...w/e you wrote.

Well, your motherboard manual should explicitly state in the BIOS section which key to press.

and np.

The X1950XT is just so much faster that the extra frame buffer doesn't matter, at those resolutions. The same thing happened with the 320/640MB 8800GTS's. At resolutions of 1600 x 1200 and under, a OC'ed 320MB GTS beat a stock 640MB GTS because, again, the twice frame buffer isn't needed and rendering, in that instance, is more speed dependant.

he just needs to overclock a lil bit.  Upgrading to a Core 2 Duo would mean buying a new motherboard, CPU and RAM, because Socket 939 CPU's use DDR400 (PC3200) memory, and below. No DDR2 for us Socket 939'ers
