i dont mind it, i probably prefer it that they keep doing this episodic thing, i dont wanna wait another five years for another half life game, no. Episode Two was so high in quality, i hardly cared about the length.
man, Gamespot was the only site i thought was credible for reviews........i guess 1up and ign are alright.....but that 9.9 for Jade Empire from ign and that 10 for Bully from 1up still gives me some doubt......
Well the thing is MGS has subtitles, skipable cutscenes and good philosophy, no repetition and is a enjoyable game to play overall, you wonder and i answer.
I played Mass Effect, it certainly looks great but nothing special, the character models look excellent and the enviroments look good for the most part but there is major texture pop in and a couple of framerate issues that hold it back.
In my opinion HL2 is are really great FPS game with it's fair share of flaws that really keep it from being the best ever, like most people are saying, everything before Ravenholm was downright crap, the boat bit was boring, for some reason some of the puzzles i found were just lame and hard to notice but after Ravenholm, Half Life 2 really started to show me what makes it a worthy succesor to the original, the pacing felt right from then, there was more heart thumping moments, more WOW moments, aside from the first four or five hours and the pretty dissapointing narrative HL2 was a great game. Nonetheless if you think Half Life 2 is the greatest thing since....well whatever you though was the greatest thing then play Episode Two because that game is stupendoues in every way, that for me is the best single-player FPS ever, downright amazing.
