No game recently, of all time probably Quake when I was 7.

Whiteblade999

I agree that Quake was scary, when I was young those zombies scared the crap out of me. The scariest, though, would probably be System Shock 2. I'm only on the second level and I can only go about 5 minutes before I have to turn on the lights and quit. And then I'm looking over my shoulder for the next half hour lol.

Ok guys thanks for the help :) I think I'll just turn the difficulty to normal and try and find some stashes.

I'm playing on Veteran difficulty. I'd read that the first two were too easy and I wanted a challenge. Guess I got more than I bargained for. And, what's a stash? Is that a place where artifacts are located?

Well, it's not that I'm running out of ammo, it's just that the dogs surround me and are constantly moving, never allowing me to get a shot off. So I guesst the AI is just too good, haha.

Due to the good reception of Call of Pripyat, I decided to get it. I played for a while, got to the ship place, did a quest to help some raiders (but ended up killing them instead), and now I'm just completely lost. I tried doing the side mission for Snag, where you have to get the container from the car in the fissure, but the snorgs (or whatever they're called) were too hard for me. Then, I tried going to the bloodsucker place to find the hunter (not a good idea in hindsight), but got killed by a bunch of dogs. It seems like everything is too hard for me in this game, and I don't like to consider myself bad at games. If there's one thing this game gets perfectly right, it's making me feel like a noob. What should I start out with? Are there any side missions that are semi-easy? Or maybe the main storyline?

And even though the title of the forum is "PC and Mac Games" you picked the wrong place to talk about a Mac. It's kind of like a Republican walking into the Democratic National Convention and yelling "Ronald Reagan was the best presdient ever!" Except you're not trying to annoy anyone. So maybe that analogy doesn't actually work...oh well

saruman354

Off-topic, but I think most democrats liked Reagan as well.

On-topic, don't get a Mac. PCs can do everything and more.

Metro 2033 had some pretty insane requirements too, but that ran fine on med-high end systems (at least in my experience).

I voted for The Witcher, because it has a great story and the choices you make are never good or evil, they're gray areas. Also, when you make a choice, later in the game you have consequences for it.

Ok, thanks, I think I'll get them from there. And, semi-off-topic, should I play the original Fallout before I play Fallout 2? Because I might only get the second one (I heard that it's better).
