Wow. Maybe they can use their original concepts in the future. I would like to see Teenage Mutant Halo Turtles, Super Halo Bros., Chronic The Halo Dog, and Grand Theft Halo.

[QUOTE="furomaster_99"]Coleco Vision FTW! JK.... The original Playstation was the only system (at that time) to bring an exact arcade replica home. Yes.. Many other systems have brought a "name" home in which it was nothing like the real arcade version, so I think that was a HUGE step forward. To all you youngsters; An arcade was where people used to go and play the most "up to date" games.gensigns

You laugh about the Colecovision, but at the time, thats EXACTLY what it did. People were stunned at the fact you could play the exact coin-op games on your TV at home, it was a huge step up from the 2600. I loved mine.

Well, yes and no. I loved my Coleco Vision, but all of those games were "dumbed down" from the arcade. Tekken was an EXACT copy to the Playstation. In fact, I think Playstation used the same processor set as the arcade machine(tekken).

Coleco Vision FTW! JK. How can anyone say N64? I still have one in storage with maybe 50 hours playing time on it; Freakin' cartridges...please. My first system owned was an Atari 2600, and I've owned almost every system up until now. The original Playstation was the only system (at that time) to bring an exact arcade replica home. Yes, Tekken was identical to the arcade version. Many other systems have brought a "name" home in which it was nothing like the real arcade version, so I think that was a HUGE step forward. To all you youngsters; An arcade was where people used to go and play the most "up to date" games.

It's all a conspiracy! Actually, I'm sure the foundation that controls folding@home would be upset and would have complained a lot sooner than this.goto0
I ran Folding @ Home on expert mode (new app) and my PS3 crapped out; At least that's what I think caused it. Anyway, I wouldn't run it unless your warranty is still good.

[QUOTE="furomaster_99"]Yeah, my backward compatible unit is dead.......Could this be a longevity issue for the older models? Jeez, I wish THEY had a three year warranty because they want $149 to fix it.DontBeHatin1983

how long did u own the ps3

I bought it Christmas 2007 along with a 32" RCA HDTV. The RCA gave out last summer. Electronics suck these days.

[QUOTE="blackeneddeath"][QUOTE="furomaster_99"]When I was logging on to Home.II_Seraphim_II
you think maybe some date on your hdd got corrupted or something? have you tried reformating? (however this will lose all your saves)

probably installed a firmware from another region which Sony explicitly tells you not to do.

Nope....I even tried taking the hdd out and then turning it on (part of troubleshooting). I'll probably have to "reflow" it using a heat gun.

' Aha because his ps3 died :roll: ?

Mine is an 80 gig B/C.....According to YouTube videos, there are many of the 60 gig B/C units going down.
