As long as the game doesn't try to follow all the events from the TV series, it might work. What I'm trying to say is that any game that comes out and is based on the re-imagined series should provide something new or additional and perhaps something outside of the series. Maybe a 3rd person shooter based on the Resistance fighters that were left on Caprica? Or a Viper & Raptor space sim that places you on the Pegasus before meeting Galactica? Basically, IMO the game should add more backstory to the already concluded TV series.

I believe during the upcoming E3 many questions supposedly will be answered in regards to the Shepard's fate. I'm just wondering how much exactly will they reveal w/o spoiling the game.

I gotta go with Thief 2 being the best of the series, with Thief 1 being second best and Thief 3 being the worst. Not to say Thief 3 was bad, being the worst Thief game is like being the slowest Ferrari. Other Ferraris may be faster than you, but you are still pretty damned fast. I really enjoyed Thief 3, I just got a lot more fun out of Thief 2.

No offense to the other people in thread, but this is the best response I've read in the entire thread. It paints a clearer picture of the Thief series, meaning that TDS is a great game, but for people who have played all 3 games in the series, it only ranks as 3rd. That bit about Ferrari cars made it clear that you can't go wrong playing any of these games.

I will have to agree with one point that was made about how it is wrong to immediately dismiss a game that has yet to be released as having no chance to exceed in quality an older game in the series. But that's just my opinion and everyone can state their opinion right? However, I have seen it happen in other series wherein I prefer the older iteration over the latest one. For example, in the Homeworld series, I'd still rank the first game as the one I enjoyed the most and love. In any case, knowing that every Thief game is a quality title, I think I will give TDS a try.

By virtue of being a newer game, COH requires some additional thinking due to certain variables not found in Starcraft like terrain, building garrisons and the use of cover. Also the mechanics of capturing and holding strategic points. That being said, both games still have a lot of depth to it in terms of strategy. Both games still stick to the normal convention of some units are good against some and you should know what units to use against what units. Furthermore, knowing the additional skills of every unit is crucial to winning and both games use that system to great effect. I think it's safe to say that the amount of thinking involved in both games is just about the same.

crysis is nowhere near horrible. This thread is flamebait.

Brendissimo35

Flamebait indeed. When a TC says this,...

Go ahead, get mad. I DIDN'T LIKE CRYSIS!!!! I think I can hear the gates of hell opening up...

cluclap1

....what else can anyone expect?

Well, IMO there's no problem with the TC not liking the game. The problem I see here is calling the game horrible. I will say the game lacks innovation and it's pretty much linear but it executes the gameplay on a level far from horrible.

Braid was pretty hard and mind-wracking due to the very cleverly designed solutions to every stage. Give it a shot.

Crysis was just ok for me. Saying it's horrible is an exaggeration, but I do understand why peope like the TC, would use that word.

Bottom line is, no game is perfect and for every game there will always be haters.
