Lower some of the settings to get a better FPS rate. No other way around that unless you change your hardware.

I know absolutely next to zero about this game. Suffice to say, all I know is what I saw from a bunch of screenshots and some bits of info. That being said, i saw that it is an MMO. So will there be a monthly fee? How much would that be if there was? It's good to hear that it's going to be $20, but again, if there's an online fee then it wouldn't be worth my time as I do not have much time to devote myself to a game. That online fee would just go to waste.

What are the exact specs of your laptop? For now I'm gonna make a guess and say that your integrated video card isn't good enough for any sort of decent 3d-gaming. You did get it right when you said Vista doesn't make games like run crap. That's assuming your Vista OS is updated. In any case, post more specific specs and I'm sure more comments (helpful ones hopefully) will flow in.

EDIT: Meant to say your integrated vid card isn't good enough. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I were to attempt to read between the lines, I would be guessing that the TC is posing a question to all heterosexual males in this forum. The question being, "Would you do the lady/man in the pic posted above?" Or better yet, "Between a butt-ugly female and this lady/man in the pic, w/c would you do?"

[QUOTE="GazaAli"]the camera can be annoying sometimes, the controls are good, the gameplay is good, its repetitive ,8/10.hartsickdiscipl

I don't know what you're used to, but the controls aren't good by my standards. The guy moves like a machine too! I can barely turn when I'm walking. I played with the mouse sensitivity and got slightly better response, but not nearly good enough. I do have to thank the earlier poster who suggested turning VSYNC off, as that did make the mouse control slightly more fluid, but I still feel like I'm in a straightjacket just trying to look around.

The V-sync "remedy" is very useful, but it puzzles my mind why it even has to be done. Though people will say that Isaac moves in a not-so-agile manner due to his suit, I have no problems with his mobility. Sure he's slow, but i think it would be just wrong if he could "bunny-hop" all over the place. Overall, I enjoyed the game but IMO, it's not really worth a second playthrough. Still gets an 8/10 from me.

I also got it for free legally with the promo w/c was about 2 weeks ago or more. Anyway, the game was pretty enjoyable for me but I"m still on the fence about paying for all of it. Maybe my mind will be decided once all 5 chapters are already released and the reviews are still positive. About the game itself, I'm very happy with the art direction, music, sound effects and voice acting. Getting the Guybrush voice actor from Monkey Island 3 was a good idea too. That made me feel right at home with the Monkey Island series I've come to know and love. The forest maze was confusing for a short time since I immediately figured out that it was one of those puzzle types often used in a lot of other games wherein you have to follow a particular pattern or path in order to reveal a certain location. A pen and paper came in handy when I was navigating the forest since the maps that Guybrush found were only helpful to me in a small way. Navigating by trying to listen for the sounds of a bee, wind, monkey or a pig I think was more trouble than just doing the trial and error method. Overall, I like it and and it's definitely a step in the right direction for the revival of the classic adventure game that used to dominate PC sales charts back in the day.

Well, it's looking pretty good but I'll wait for the full review, meaning I'll wait for the multiplayer review as well. I mean, multiplayer is a big deciding factor with me since multiplayer always extends the life of any game if it is done right and people actually play it.

Hey all,

As I was installing the game, I kept getting delayed write errors over and over again. I simply ignored them, but as the update was being applied these write errors became more frequent and my PC crashed, so I forced a reboot.

Solidus171

Well, those "delayed write" errors are most probably a symptom of the source of the problem. It's hard to tell what the source could be since it's possible that the install files are corrupted or it's possible that a hardware problem has surfaced. I used to have trouble installing games on my PC due to defective RAM. The error would usually occur when installing something big like a game but installing a smaller program yielded no problems. What can I say? PCs and their seemingly infinite number of quirks! *Sigh*
