So, the BDtS DLC installs the DLC and patch 1.01 right? So, I'm guessing that I'll have to install my retail disc first, then the DLC and then this new 1.02 patch. Hmmmm..... it's good to know it's available. However, I'm too busy playing Street Fighter 4 right now. I'll probably load this game up again once an official release date for the second DLC pack comes out.

Orange Box is the first game I ever bought, for under 20 dollars its a must have.

I will have to agree with what most people are saying about the look of the new PS3 Slim. I don't really like it and it definitely looks uglier than the fat PS3.

The matte finish is ok but I would have preferred it if they kept the glossy and shiny look. Even the logo IMO, doesn't look that nice. However, that's not going to stop me from finally jumping into the current-gen console world.

I've put it off for quite some time now since I'm mostly a PC gamer. However, the price has come down so much since the initial price of $600 when it first came out, down to $299. This is more than within my reach and I'm definitely buying. I'm really interested in MGS4, Uncharted 1 & 2, God of War 3 and LBP. All are PS3 exclusives and I don't forsee any of them coming out on the PC. A lot of Xbox 360 games came out on the PC eventually and I'm really glad I didn't jump in early with the 3RL-prone xbox 360.

I would have bought an Xbox 360 for Mass Effect and Gears of War but my procrastination took too long and next thing I know the people at MS to announce them for the PC. That stopped me from buying a 360 temporarily. What completely stopped me from buying was the 3RL. I know the Jasper models are less-prone to hardware failure but most of the games that I could play and would actually want to play on a 360, are on the PC already and my rig is still pretty decent for 1680x1050 gaming.

I am not buying a PS3 Slim next month though. Holiday season is my time to buy. In the meantime, I'll wait and see if any hardware problems are reported in the first few months of the console's release. Who knows what kind of acronyms and codes people are going to come up with in relation to any hardware problems they run into.

I've always had one console and a decent gaming rig since the PS1 days. However, at the moment, I still don't own any of the current-gen consoles. I'm just a PC gamer for now. I almost bought an Xbox 360 (without being familiar yet w/ the dreaded 3RL) for Mass Effect and Gears of War 1. I was almost at that point when I was going to get one and then MS announced ME for the PC. That stopped me cold in my tracks.

I might get a PS3 though if that slim version ever comes out and get myself MGS4, Uncharted 1 & 2 and Tekken 6. Those rhytm games(GH & RB) look sweet too.

Empire Total War - For some reason, leading soldiers that are mostly equipped with rifles isn't as much fun as upfront melee carnage that can be found in Rome: Total War and Medieval 2: Total War.

Sins of a Solar Empire - I got bored real fast. I guess I was expecting a game that was a mix of Master of Orion 2 and Homeworld 2. I guess I got this game with too many expectations.

Come to think of it, I'm only waiting for Dragon Age for the remainder of the year. I suppose that's indicative of the global financial slump and on top of that, some the other games I was waiting for get pushed to next year like SC2 and SC:Conviction. Oh wait, NBA 2k10 is on my list too! At least that's 2 games I'm waiting for!
