A little dilemma for you guys.

I just got Max Payne 2 and Jade Empire for my 360, but I'm debating whether or not I should get NG:B.

I had already decided to get it, but then I saw those newly released Sigma screens....damn :o. Reminded me just how good that game looked.

Should I get NG:B now, or should I wait to get Sigma for the PS3?

Just got an HDTV on Black Friday :D

The original price was $1,700, the Black Friday sale brought it down to $1,300, and my friend at Comp USA sold it to me with his discount for $500.

It's 37 inches, with 720p/1080i resolution, built-in HD tuner, and HDMI.

Quite a steal....plus tax and a 4-year warrantee, I paid less than $600 for this tv.

First, Happy Turkey Day to all :)

This morning I got the Xbox 360 core system on Amazon for $100. I didn't think I had much of a chance, seeing as there were only 1,000 of 'em and there were probably tens or hundreds of thousands of people trying to get one.

It's actually more like $200, since without the HDD I can't play Xbox games or have enough storage space. The wireless controller and headset I can live without for now.

Anyways, I gotta thank tekkenlaw for pointing me to the deal :D

Originally I wasn't going to get a 360 until a few years later, when I'm out of college and have more spending money.

I may delay buying a PS3 now until MGS4 comes out.

I probably won't buy a 360 game until Mass Effect drops, due to the fact that I'm a poor college student.

But I'm definitely picking up some backwards-compatible Xbox games to play this Christmas break. I really wish MS had spent more effort expanding this list, but whatev. Here's what I'm currently thinkin:

Max Payne 2
Ninja Gaiden: Black
Jade Empire

Any more suggestions?

That said, I'm going to go prepare for battle now, since I think Teuf and YellowPik are coming to try to rob it from me.

I just woke up from a deep sleep following a week of no sleep.

2 essays and a presentation - one on racism and the other on international relations theory - kept me pullin' all-nighters 3 days in a row. I probably had a combined amount of 6 hours of sleep over the course of 3 days. I felt like a zombie :P

So apologies if I haven't been able to keep up with some of your blogs and such.

Now I finally get to spend some quality time with FFXII :D Lookin' forward to Christmas break now, when I can focus on beating the game.

One thing I will say about the game so far...it's got an incredible sense of architectural art style. Sometimes I see a dungeon for the first time and I have to catch my breath because of its sheer beauty. Art style inspired from the ancient Egyptians to the ancient Myans is really something to behold.

What are your Christmas break plans? Takin' any vacations? Any games you're planning on beating over break?

You guys might not know, but bannedohnoes was a dear friend of mine on GS. But due his...shall we say..."eccentric" posting behavior...he was recently banned from gamespot. Now he has switched his profile picture into a large sign that says "Game Over." Why is he so hard on himself?

Alas, only a courageous poster like bannedohnoes has the courage to acknowledge defeat when he meets it.

This game caught my interest back when it was unveiled at TGS, but there's been absolutely no hype or discussion of it whatsoever. It's Dawn of Mana for the PS2. I've never played any of the Mana games, but the light-hearted art style of this game really caught my attention. Hopefully more info will come at TGS.

Remember that period of time after the E3 unveil of MGS2 when Kojima and his team submerged to develop the game in isolation?

For the next two weeks, I will be in complete isolation, in complete focus. I have to bang out a paper in this time, and I've gotta make it good. So I won't be on GS the next two weeks.

I have to discipline myself. I have to separate my mind from the fanboys who continuously chicken-dance for my attention.

Logging out....submerging.....10 km....9 km.....8 km....

O crap, my air tank isn't working :shock:

It's safe to say this my #1 most anticipated game at the moment.

I just finished FFVII. You're probably wondering "you just finished FFVII"?

Well, I missed out on this classic, and many others, because my parents didn't buy me things like videogame consoles as a kid. Now that I have my own (albeit not a lot of) money, I can go back and revisit these classic games that I passed up.

And what an experience FFVII was. The last boss fight w/ Sephi was epic, with "One-Winged Angel" pounding in the background. And omnislashin' his @ss at the end was fun, too 8)
