@Destructionzz: Mean it was boring and had no purpose. Hard mode was the same content over again and wasn't even harder really just more annoying to do all that slow walking again. Hard mode removes items and attack magic for the most part from the game and adds nothing.

No clue why people have such a big problem with the story. Not like the story in ff7 wasn't crap with cheesy dialog just like every other story that comes out of japan. All they missing are girls in school uniforms and boy/boy love.

FF7 was groundbreaking because of the epicness of itemization/skills. Open world(eventually). And because it was TONS of gameplay post game. So far FF7R has none of this. This is what I want to know about. Could care less if they stick with OG story line or not going to suck either way.

Game was surprisingly decent but a 10? Gameplay was short sure takes most around 40 hours but 30 of those are slow walking and cutscenes. Hardmode is definitely lacking considering this is FF7. But I understand this is just the first part and hopefully that endgame is just a placeholder for the real post game content in a future episode.

Would give music and story a 10 and there is the nostalgic factor. But gameplay could definitely be better/longer. Replay value almost non existent. But overall considering SE's blunders over the past 2 decades ff7R was really good my score would be a 8.5.

The info on Ascension isn't quite correct it has about the same ae range as dolphin flurry. Just seems ascensions ae is focused on character position and dolphin flurry is more frontal.
