@AlCapwnUK: once they fixed the issue with the newer model RROD problem went away. I'd be wary of buying a used old school fat model 360/elite. Those had all the issues, I've owned a 360 since launch in 05 and believe me the RROD issue was bad the first few years.
Hope it doesn't RROD on you. I've had 8 360s RROD on me. I bought the elite when it first came out and it RROD on me in 2 hours of having it. I still have my elite from when ms fixed it back in 2010 and it still works.
With that said you can have just about all the great games for 360 for cheap now, and there are plenty of them. Some of those games you listed like kameo are launch titles and dirt old. But it doesn't matter get your game on.
The game looks like a cross between jet set radio and dead rising.
The thing about Nintendo is they've main streamed the controller in general. The D pad, 4 face buttons and L/R. Analog, rumble and motion control. But Sony has been good at copying the good stuff. I feel its too late for the vita, ps tv is probably its last reimagining.
@Crypt_mx: i guess my point is on racing games they can tend to push resolutions and frame rates higher because of the controlled environment. You are stuck on a line without much freedom so they can focus the resources.
In a fighting game it's almost the same concept. You have two characters in a controlled environment, they can focus on details because your not in this open world go everywhere map. Yes there is a lot going on screen, i just really thought with the new systems they could push the resolution and keep the 60fps. 900p is practically 1080p so it's ok, just from a PR stand point it still doesn't hit 1080p.
I wonder why they couldn't hit 1080p. I don't pretend to know how to develop games. As a fighting game the frame rate is more important then resolution, but as a fighting game there is less going on in the background. It's not open world, there's only two fighters on screen at a time. They have racing games in the ps2 hit 1080i/60fps, but fighting games still seem to be stuck at lower reloutions. I just wonder what in fighting games take up resources at this point in the game.
@simuseb2: I was getting at why can't they have both. They could still have remastered and classic modes and attain the switching between them on the fly. It seems they could have a way to disable both engines running at the same time to free up resources to hit a true 1080p/60fps.
I can live with how they ship the game, but it the frame rate dips below 60fps it will seem like a compromise that hinders gameplay. We notice frame rates far more then resolutions, frame rate impacts gameplay more. I will hold my judgments off until I get the game myself. Just nitpicking at this point.
@simuseb2: I disagree, they made a point to emphasize the games all be 1080p/60fps. How many people will switch between classic and remastered modes beyond the point of a novelty feature. I can image i you would do it a few times to see the improvement but other then that you would pick a mode and stick with it. At best they could have included a toggle on off mode to hit that promised 1080p/60fps.
Thay obviously put a hell of a lot of work into it. 4 games, all the maps at 1080p/60fps*. I believe even if people can't tell the reslution difference, this is the xbox flagship showcase of halo. With all the reslution gate and the xbox hitting lower specs over the ps4, it's important from a PR stand to hit those marks. If it could be done, they should make it happen. Just my opinion.
At first glance it read as fly by naz-i to me.
