It is a well known fact that Bruce Dickinson and Matt Barlow are the best clean singers of all time. Darth-Caedus

He's pretty good, but there are a lot of singers and if I had a top 50 I probably wouldve put them in it

I wrote this out of utter disguist of the Rolling Stones article. What a piece of junk. They had Elvis at #3 lol, but what really pissed me off was that they had Kurt Cobain above Donny Hathaway and LUTHER FRIGGIN VANDROSS. Now you might like Nirvana better than those artists, but you would have to be on drugs (no pun intended) to think that Kurt Cobain can sing better than Donny Hathaway and Luther Vandross even from a technical aspect. Here are the greatest recording artist (contemporary music)of all time imo.

1. Aretha Franklin

2. Luther Vandross

3. Stevie Wonder

4 Sam Cooke

5. Donnie Hathaway

6. Whitney Houstin

7. Jackie Wilson

8. Gladys Night

9. Michael Jackson

10 Donnie McClurkin

I really tried to make this list so that there wouldnt be those people who dont know about singing say "hey, all you have are black singers", but there were too many singers that started coming to mind that I couldnt do a "politcally correct" list. My mother is the greatest singer of all time imo, I just gotta give a shout out to her. But we all know that the music business is a crazy business, and just because you can sing doesnt mean that you will make it. And remember that there are people who cant sing that have made it!!!!!! The music business needs to be changed.

Dragon Ball Z is god awful, as is Naruto. Darth-Caedus

DBZ is what animes should be about. Not any of the drama crap. No thanks animes, I can watch NBC dramas instead.

Dear god no. I feel like my brain cells are dieing just thinking about that piece of **** anime D:

I guess you would rather be confused by the over-serious soap opera animations which are what most Anime's are. I call them Dramames. Because just like System Wars, Dramames are SERIOUS BUSINESS!!! lol

I have to go with "other" despite "non-religious" being an option. My position is very "unique" and requires an in-depth response that I wrote a little while ago and will re-post here.

[quote="I"]I believe that it is impossible for anything "supernatural" to "exist," since everything contained within our universe is what is "existence." Everything exterior to that existence, does not "matter" nor can have any effect on this existence. I also find the concepts of omnipotence, omniscience and other divine "powers" that are usually associated with "God" to be incredibly unfounded and almost nonsensical (a discussion for another time).

I described my beliefs about our universe and my own existence as "naturalistic non-theistic monism." Which can be broken down as follows:

1) Naturalistic: I believe that everything in the universe, is what is the universe. Nothing "outside" the universe (i.e. the supernatural or metaphysical) is "the universe." It can't be. It is not of this universe. For it to exist, it has to exist "within" the confines of the universe. However, that doesn't mean that it will be entirely confined to the laws of what we know about the universe currently. There may be a particular level of existence within the universe that is different from our current line of existence (i.e. subspace in Star Trek).

2) Non-theistic: I find both the terms "atheist" and "agnostic" (along with "agnostic atheist") to not describe what I believe well enough, nor do I find that they are represented properly among the general public. Both terms carry heavy stigmas attached to them. "Atheists" are generally seen as "heathen sinners" that will burn in Hell for all eternity (like what my girlfriend's mother thinks)... and not someone who lacks a belief in a God, gods or the supernatural. "Agnostics" are generally seen as "fence-sitters" and the term is usually confused as a belief, and not a position on a belief. Since "lacking knowledge" about religion, isn't a belief, it is a lack of knowledge. Also, I like the term "non-theist" because it gets across my point more emphatically: I refuse to ackowledge that anything supernatural could even exist.

3) Monism: Monism is the idea of "unification" within a given field of inquiry. Whether that be a philosophy, religion or academic study. I define my "monist" ideal as something similar to Brahman in Hinduism. Except, I don't apply a supernatural, transcendental or divine nature to it. I believe that the universe is all the same "thing" and all stemmed from the same source. All the duality and differentiation we see is just an illusion. We are all made up of the same "substance" (not to suggest that we all stem from hydrogen, though) and are only slightly different from everything else, in a way that makes us believe we are actually, fundamentally different... which isn't the case. In Hinduism, this idea is referred to as "Advaita" or "non-dual." i.e. we are not "different" from Brahman, only a slightly varied manifestations of the same whole (while the "Dvaita" or "dualistic" opposite, would claim that we are fundamentally different from Brahman).

I would also like to point out in reference to monism... that I am not referring in any way to pantheism (which implies the use of the term "God" and carries even more confusing labels along with it). Which is specfically why I chose to include "non-theistic." "Brahman" to me is not "God" nor is a supernatural being, essence or consciousness. Brahman is just the universe, Brahman defines what the universe was before the big bang, what it is now, and what it will continue to be indefinitely. Aham Brahmasmi. I am Brahman. You are Brahman. Everything is Brahman.foxhound_fox

I think the category for you is "confused".

If you think about it, FLCL really wasnt that good. I mean, I kinda enjoyed it (5 years ago),but the plot was really bad and the story was about a typical peubescant kid who is trying to find himself with two girls. "How cool" No, how overused and typical that is. I think that when the random craziness happened (for like most of the show) it made us all eager to see what happened in the actual story. The anime was in essence a scam.

[QUOTE="Pyro767"]

OK, so my computers teacher was fired (don't ask why, that isn't part of the story) so we had a sub in today. She let us watch part of Religulous, I believe it's a mockumentary. Anyway, I saw some if it and I started thinking "I really hope that none of this is real, because if it is I realize now how far Christianity has fallen." I'm still no atheist, but my God was that some stupid stuff going on in there.

Thoughts?

Religulous was crap. He wanted to do a documentary to find out about christianity and its historical accounts, then he shouldve asked an apologist. But Maher is very biased and really had no intention on knowing about Christianity. I promise you, if you go to youtube, look up the interviews that he made to promote the movie, he tries to play and appease them depending where he was at and his story always changes, he shapeshifts more than the shapeshifters in DBZ.
