I don't think "hate" is a meaningful description of how people feel. They see it as a moral evil that might ruin their society, similar to how western countries might look at something like pedophilia.

Is pedophilia "hate" as well?

Obviously I'm not saying they are morally equivalent or that these are defensible ideas. I'm just saying I think that's how some people see it.
