If phill Spencer continues head of xbox, I think he will always aim for the performance crown.

I believe he said so already that Microsoft will always be offering the best and most powerful hardware.

Also, the difference between the pro and x is not just performance. The x also has a greatly increased build quality and materials and that, with the added performance completely justifies the price difference.

In Spain, at my local retailer, the ps4 pro bundled with fifa 19 sold out.

The Xbox one x is with a 50 euros discount and still in stock.

At a retailer in France I also buy from is the same situation.

But in western Europe, ps4 has the biggest market, so not surprising.

@kali-b1rd: local classifieds are personal for sale ads locally.

People usually sell their mint games, in excellent condition and without the uplift in price that used stores like gamestop add on top.

If you bargain you can usually get bundles where each game is below 10 euros.

Also, even on dodgy sites like g2a and such, games for pc are not cheaper than used physical games for consoles.

Consoles are not wrecked!

You cannot compare this without the context of value for money.

It's lyke saying a BMW M3 wrecks a Kia...

Of couse it does!

But to go from home to work and back, the Kia can do it with 6 liters of fuel consuption and a retail price of 14.000 euros.

The BMW needs 11 liters of gas and costs 85.000 euros.

Same with gaming.

Erm ... wut?

You are talking Fuel consumption, a metric that doesn't remotely apply to PC vs Consoles....

You wanna talk "Fuel consumption"...

Alright...

1) Cheaper games

2) no paid online

A better comparison would be a more expensive car that actually pays itself off in effeciency.

Yes, the consoles have lower TDP, and therefore waste way less energy than a gaming pc.

Also, cheaper games? Consoles have physical games.

I go on the local classifieds and can pick up excelent games for 10 euros.

I can even get Spiderman for 45 instead of the 69 retail it costs here.

Paid online? Console best games are single player games. Single Player gamers couldn't care less about online. It's not mandatory. You only pay if you want to use it. Lot's of people don't.

Xbox one X has the resolution advantage over PS4 pro, but they pushed the resolution so far, that the frame-rate is actually more stable on the PS4 Pro.

And in motion at normal sitting distance, I guess the difference won't be that noticiable.

If the game is like rise, then it will be good in gameplay but really suck in story.

For me, if they do a narrative driven game, they cannot have those open areas and let the player free to roam in order to shoot down targets hanging in trees or go cut down dead rabbits from ropes.

It totally kills the moment and the immersion and the storytelling...

The bad guys are running towards an ancient device to activate it and destroy the world! I am the hero and I am close on their tails to stop them! I am going to stop them, but before I do so, let me just run around here in circles using my survival instincts to spot hidden targets hanging on trees... And let me just find some clifs to dive into the water....

4 hours later, I found 4 of the 6 targets, I am bored, so where was I... Oh, right... I was chasing the cad guys that where on the run and about to destroy the world. So let me get back on it like if the bad guys where just trapped in limbo doing nothing for 4 hours while I dove off clifs...

Do they realize how stupid this storytelling and game pacing is????

They either do a story driven game like uncharted or do a quest driven game.

If they try to do both, the end result is that stupid!

When I play a game, I want to be immersed in the virtual world of said game.

I don't want to break my immersion by having to deal with toxic 13 year old kids that is what plagues multiplayer games these days...

This is the difference between multiplat and first party games.

These multiplat games just cannot achieve the same level of detail, polish and optimization that a first party game has.

The problem with pc currently is not the games.

Take 2018 for example.

For me, there are only 2 games up until now I would really like to play that are ps4 only. That is God of war and spiderman.

If they are 20 hours each, that is 2 weeks for me.

The rest of the games I have interest in are on pc to and better there.

The problem with pc at this time bullshit market with price fixings, artificial shortages and all that crap that translates in insane prices.

For example.

If I have a nice 4k TV on my living room and want to play games there, I can spend 330 euros on a Ps4 pro, place it nicely on my living room furniture and play with the nice bundled controller.

If I want to go for a pc for the same use scenario, I need a slim case.

The cheapest one in the desired formfactor is the node 202.

That is 140 euros if I buy the bundle with the 450w psu.

I need a controller to play. A nice wireless one for pc is the Xbox one controller. That is 50 euros.

So, a case with psu and a controller are already more than half the ps4 pro cost...

And ram? With price fixing 16gb ddr4 is 140 euros minimum...

OH, and since a pc is not a dedicated gaming machine and games are not developed and optimized for a single hardware config like a Ps4, on the pc in 2018 you need 16 gigs.

So case, psu, ram and controller is the cost of a Ps4 pro.

And you still need a cpu, a board, a hard drive or a ssd or both, a license for windows...

And a gpu, that's right...

This is the issue.

The greedy companies that occupy the pc space ruined the market.
