Whoever gave the Link for the SAMS CLUB COMPUTER, dont get that one. Get the $1300 one, it is a much better deal just to give u a heads up. Plus with a $100 gaming cad, you can play mostly anything.

Thank you all alot for your great help. By the way, I have two gigs of ram, I might get more for the heck of it, sometimes I do hard multi tasking. I will disable microsoft search

When I got this computer, before I ever turned it on, I put a pci express 7600gs in there, it had a nvidia 7350le. Therefore, I think I may need to change a setting to disable the computer from taking some of its memory, and giving it to my 7600 gs, because nvidia info says that I have 512 mb of something put towards "shared video memory"

With my little budget/gaming card, teh last thing I want is my ram to be used up by some dumb intergrated junk.

so its normal?

I have 2 gig of ram, and in physical memory, only 880 is free?

Since i put the 7600 gs in there, why does nvidia say that 550 mb  system memory is being shared?

please let me free up that ram

and my hd is continually loading

wtf

YOu have an HP, no doubt about that. I need a bigger power supply too man, so I'll end up picking one up at compusa for about $50, maybe a high 400 watt one

-A 24 pin power supply will likely work, I saw the power supply in my HP.

-Get yourself an Nvidia 7600gs for about $100, its a good budget card. I got one, and I rid myself of the 7350le

Today I got an exchange for my hp dv9000 laptop, and I went with a very good core 2 duo, 2 gig ddr2ram hp desktop. I have already installed a fresh nvidia 7600 gs in there, but the whole vista thing is new to me. I have uninstalled all programs that were dumb, like norton, and hp help care. The problem is that 550 mb of ram is being used by my pc, and I cant think of anything except that it is Windows Vista.

Can someone therefore tell me if Windows Vista is causing my computer to use up 550 mb of ram at boot, with no software installed except Windows Vista Home Premium. Technically I know alot about computers, mostly hardware related. But this is gonna get on my nervers to have 550 mb of ram used during heavy gaming.

now the only problem that I have is, when I load device(hp analog tuner), and I have everything set right (composite and NOT tuner) but all it is is a black screen, and at the bottom of the media player classic, it says "live"

so what may I be doing right, for one I know that the tuner is installed and working, the ps2 worked in media player center, but as you said, it was very slow.

any hints on what im doing wrong.
