[QUOTE="geekhunter149"]If you think you see a decline in pc game development, it is because of the cost of next-gen development, which is made easier on consoles, and the proliferation of pirated software which is much harder on a console. However, the PC as a gaming platform can never die: if everyone stopped developing games for the PC, think of how inviting that would look to game developers--a virtual monopoly. And this would happen long before ALL games ceased development. Rest assured that, though the platform's success may ebb and flow, it will never die. Also, many of the best series of all time continue to be developed for the PC (starcraft is still exclusive, I believe).Haee

Starcraft was never exclusive (Starcraft 64 anyone?) and who knows about Starcraft 2.

sorry, I meant starcraft 2

and it is exclusive (http://pc.ign.com/objects/850/850126.html), unless you want to count mac

Yeah, it was a dumb decision.

It worked out because they got lucky.

Why do people pay more attention to graphics more than storyline & gameplay ? ..Ok i get it cryengine 2 is far better than Unreal3 engine & Source 2 but still the gameplay from crysis is similar to Far Cry combined with HL2 & the story is so used ( Alien Invasion again ) i thing i'm going to puke !!! At least games like Gears of War & HL2 had it all not only graphics !beckoflight

You're right, its about gameplay. First of all, I don't know why on earth you think you know what the gameplay of Crysis is like, but I don't see why a cross between HL2 and Far Cry would be bad in any way: both of those games are renowned for their awesome GAMEPLAY.
