[QUOTE="WiiMan21"]

I already own a PC, PS3, and a Wii.

I really want to buy the new 360 slim, but I want to know a good enough reason why I should buy it.

WiiMan21

If you really want to buy the new 360 slim, then you would. So either you want to buy it or you don't. If you don't nobody will care.

At this point, Halo: Reach and Alan Wake are the only two games that are swaying me to buy one.

So you want 360 games that are only on the 360 and not shared with the psp.Even tho your not gonna be playing any of the pc/360 on the pc.I call shenanigans.rabble rabble rabble rabble.

oh and you've played the full retail game?

It's a racing game there is nothing exciting about it.The demo for gt5 has been out a long time.

[QUOTE="genaroll"][QUOTE="cainetao11"]totally agree, TC. People see it as a failure in this race to be first obsession. Like if it sells less than the DS the money it earns Sony isn't real. These companies don't care all that much about the first place thing, imo. They know their fans do and pay it lip service. At the end of the day, even if one is in third, if they are turning a profit, one is successful.cainetao11
The psp is'nt making any profit.Noone buys psp games.Just because it sold 60 million units doesn't mean 60 million people are still playing it.Most of the psp owners are pirates,Some just bought it cause it was new,everyone else buys games for the psp but not as often as a ps3,wii,360 or ds owner.

I don't have access to Sony's financials, so ok. Looks like they are taking a bath in gaming all over as the PS3 isn't raking in a massive net profit as of yet. Still I dig the PSP.

The psp is good just not popular anymore.I remember when the psp first came out everyone had a psp and the ds was unknown.Now it's the exact opposite.

Unless they find a way to prevent mandatory installs for blue ray games what's the point of switching to blue ray if it's just for larger cutscenes.They should just use a dvd disk with more space.

[QUOTE="SolidTy"]

Yes, that's probably exactly what he did.:o

He went down to Gamestop, traded in his old beloved 360, and some older 360 games / 360 peripherals, bought the new $299 360 slim redesign. He wasn't done yet....he then proceeded to take a hairdryer to the poor 360 fan vent to burn his brand new 360 out, so he could come to the forums and show us. The 360 never saw it coming! I bet CSI Miami would find all kinds of DNA evidence if we called them to the crime scene. Then, as part of his devious plot, he took multiple pictures as "Proof", and posted here at SW.

The best part of the plan, he created an account here at Gamespot.com for a few years prior, and he went as far as to masquerading as a 360 fan for these many years. He played 360 games a normal 360 fan would play, he talked about 360 games, he bought Xbox Live Gold and played with fellow Gamespotters so they wouldn't be the wiser, he bought the HD-DVD add on for his 360 as well as HD-DVD's, he did everything he could to fool us all. He pretended to enjoy Halo 3, GeoW1, Fable 2, Viva Pinata...all of them, just to make sure this plan was executed flawlessly.

He waited and waited....and finally it happened.

The 360 slim redesign was announced! Oh, Glory be this day!

He then of course, went to the store, and paid for his new 360 slim to enact his coup de grace on the 360 Slim redesign.

The Masterstroke. I saw through it the whole time, and I'm glad others noticed as well.

He took a Hairdryer to his New 360 fan vent.:evil:

Devil with Hairdryer

I was going to suggest he did that, but you beat me to the punch. :P

jwsoul

With that post you might be a repeat GOTY. That was really funny.

Oh dear i think someone just got OWNED.

 why people.

[QUOTE="KlepticGrooves"]

My opinion:

Casual gamer: Someone who owns only party games or games that use movement (eg: Wii games) as a key feature, or a person who may only play on one game genre (Genre gamers?). They only usually play once a week, or on certain occasions (parties). This is the type of person who can jump on Fifa or CoD but will steer clear of an RPG, and are usually multiplayer only gamers.

Core gamer: Someone who plays a fair few different game genres. They may own only one system or all systems. They buy some titles on release and may pre-order games in advance, and pick up a Collectors/Limited Edition of game when they can. This type of gamer will complete a single player campaign rather than just jumping online and ignoring the story missions. They are as happy playing Fallout 3 as they are playing Gears of War or CoD online.

Hardcore gamer: Someone who owns all systems and plays all games. The type of person who buys any game rather than sticking to titles they like. They are the type of gamer who will queue up over-night for a game release. These are the gamers who get all trophies/achievements in all their games.

xOMGITSJASONx

Its not the amount of games. I know a guy on PSN who Platinumed Wipeout HD, Demon's Souls andStreet Figther 4. He is a hardcore gamer after only playing a few games lol.

I see now casual gamers like to have fun.Core gamers play more often.Hardcore gamers are the gaming geeks. I guess i am half casual and core then.

[QUOTE="Clank-PS-Snake"]

I'm not even talking about the average graphics here, I'm talking about gameplay the driving looked worse then Alan Wake's and the gunplay looks looks appalling. I'm sure if this wasn't HD then the PS2 would be able to run it. Why have people even been hyping the announcement of this crappy game?.

pc-ps360

i see what you did there. first posting a topic calling halo reach crap now this.

lol at the troll "Clank PS Snake"
