With the information we have so far at launch this game is all about scavenging supplies to build a small base camp then defend it from enemies/players until u get overrun or nuked to oblivion. Then repeat this process over and over again till they add new content. So what is gonna be the admission price for this launch content? $60 one time fee? F2P? Subscription?
Also Bethseda really should roll back on this whole "Rebuild America" PR for the game. Was not the whole point emerging from the vault to rebuild? Nukes make both pointless. "Yay we just survived a nuclear war lets nuke ourselves some more!" Yes i realize this supposed to be an interesting(I don't) gameplay feature but its dumb for the concept this game is supposed to have.
I dont see the game mentioned in that list. Is Bethseda following the whole 'no game with collectors edition trend' that other AAA have been following. It doesn't even have to be a physical copy but at least a digital code.
Hopefully the next proper fallout will be 1-4 coop only. This game sounds like to start its only life is gonna be enemy NPCs and other players. You scavenge what u you need from the world and enemy/player bases, build your base and defend it till you get overrun or nuked then start all over again. Any large clan of people are not gonna be able to survive long with the inclusion of nukes so unless some sort of deterrent/shield is made there wont be large player run cities for long.
@jako998: Because while it can be played solo it may not be optimized to do so. Can EVERYTHING be accomplished solo? What about other players or grifers? Will the solo guy have to be constantly be worried that he will be jumped or nuked at anytime? Now there still alot of info we are missing such as is there PVE/PVP servers? Can a private server be hosted? Im not particularly interested in whats been shown but at the very least it looks like we have a new engine and Gamebyro can now rest in peace.
