[QUOTE="Neo1O1"]I feel that the ball just got rolling with the PS3 & it's going to roll even harder during the 2007 holiday season. System launches are not FPS's where you can just come out, guns blazing & expect to wipe out the competition. Microsoft has been in the console gaming industry for only a few years. Sony has the 1-up there & even Nintendo 1-up's Sony. At the end of the day, the PlayStation 3 is the superior console & wether or not shelling out big bucks for exclusives is the way to go remains to be seen. A personal, favorite feature of mine is how the PS3 did away with the front-loading trays & instead went with a direct, front-loading mechanism. This turns me on so bad. Things will unfold & I remain confident that the wind & tide will remain at Sony's back.
On a sidenote: I've always wondered where all these Xbox faithfuls came from? These so-called 'X-bots'... I wonder which console they turned their entertainment needs to before Microsoft shoved its ugly face. I swear, these 'X-bots' kiddies & their mindless rants really make me laugh.

What make you any different? Who are you to put down people just because they don't choose the same game system as you? If anyone is making mindless rants its people like you who make comments like your side-note
I agree with mfisher... Get of you high horse... Just because a person has preference for a certain game machine does not mean their anything less... Stop making judgemental comments about people...
Given a choice, I could make a few unhealthy comments about this alone:
"A personal, favorite feature of mine is how the PS3 did away with the front-loading trays & instead went with a direct, front-loading mechanism" , This turns me on so bad.
But I chose not to... I suggest you do the same...
Don't want to be a wet blanket here.. But here is some news regarding the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray war... Things do not bode well...
This is what caused paramount to bail the Blu-Ray camp:

In a nutshell, whole china will be supporting CH-DVD which has similiar architechure as HD-DVD. Meaning cheap ass HD-DVD players and manufacturing cost for HD-DVDs.
Yakuza = Shen Mue wannabe... I want the actual one!
Again why compare HS with Geow?
HS: Single player Action adventure
GoeW: Single/Coop/Multiplayer FPS
Why compare both? Length wise their totally different games? Why not compare HS with God of War or something in the same genre? Why not ask questions like why God of War got excellent scores and HS gets less? What's missing?
Different genres have different requirements for determining high quality games. I mean, RPGs for example have an average length of 40 hours or so, anything less would be considered too short. Other genres have different requirements as well, not just in length but other as well.
My point, comparing the 2 in terms of length is ridiculous.
[QUOTE="BeErBOnG29"][QUOTE="Velric"]I was disappointed with the review. They happily talk about how fun the game is, how great the presentation is, and how intuitive the combat can be, yet they score it so low because it is seven hours long and plays similar throughout the entire game. Funny, I can think of a game that is half that length and has even less depth and variety yet was given game of the year by many sites. Which game was that again? Oh, yah, Gears of War.
Also, how could they have not given the presentation a 10? It has some of the slickest graphics ever seen on a console, outstanding music, the best acting in a video game has ever had, and impeccable voice work.
The story also deserved quite a bit more praise than they gave it.

Really? GEoW was only 3.5 hours long? Less depth? No variety? Have you even played it? Probably not. Try not to be as much of a fanboy next time, please.
Nice try buddy boy. How about you hop on over XBL and check out my games played. Wow, completelly solved that issue. Yes, the game can be beaten, on first try on normal difficulty in just over 3 hours. Did I say it lacked depth? No, but I did say it is the similar style of gameplay from beginning to end with little variety. Which is true. You're grabbing cover from one end of each senario to the next while you take out the Locust. There's nothing wrong with that.
Why is everyone comparing this to GeoW? Why not something along the same genre?
But if the connection is merely because of a high score on a certain microsoft console, then I'll give my 2 cents.
And I personally think GeoW got the the high score cause it was the first few games that actually Wowed people and reviewers. But that was a year ago, and that Wow factor has kinda like weared off.
A prime example, a lot people will admit that Bioshock is the best game on 360 by far even compared to gears, despite its lower score.
Sure you can argue that PS3 only has only gone through a few months compared to the 360 but peoples expectations increase accross the platforms especially when ps3 and 360 are almost equal in terms of power and service provided.
I'm Japanese... But most of my friends are from america... and they are pretty decent... cursing does come in once in awhile... but only intended as a joke or if the guy chugging too many beers...
