Hey guys, just thought I'd write to let u guys know that I played the Kinect this weekend at the mall where I live. They had a huge display with xboxs, bigscreen tvs, and kinect hooked up to 4 displays each with a different game. I played a game where you use your whole body to hit balls back at the wall to break bricks. It was pretty cool actually. The dancing game looked pretty lame, and the adventure game didnt look too great, but the track and field game looked cool too. www.kinect.me is the website on the back of the Guest pass they gave me. what have the rest of you thought of kinect so far?

i like the concept of Kinect, but its too darn pricey.

however, i think Kinect will breed a lot of original gaming ideas in the future

why do you three have the same icon? but back on topic, is your transfer cable a 3rd party cable or a Microsoft one? because if its third party, you've just destroyed your HD if yuo've connected it to your console.

the only way to transfer your files then is to connect your 3rd party cable to your PC, transfer the files there and move them to a Flash drive (must be 8gb or more).

then you transfer the files from the flash drive to the console

this is assuming you have a 3rd party cable

hey man, i have the exact same problem, i dont have a solution but heres the deal ive read everywhere that people have problems transfering content when using the old transfer cables the new ones they came out with are specifically made for the slim, i have not come across anyone using an old one and being succesful..so my guess is the old one **** it up and reads it as a usb ( i also used the old one and it reads it as a 16 gb unit) anyways i went and bought the other transfer cable and it wont read my harddrive at all probably because it is now formatted as a 16 gb usb but when i plug it into my computer it reads it as a 250 gb unit, and it still has all my data on the harddrive, but the thing is i dont know how to format it to read it ive called xbox plenty times trying to figure out how to reformat my harddrive to read it on my computer or to get it back to being read as a harddrive and they keep saying they will escalate the problem and get back to me, its been a week and they keep delaying so as of right now, whoever buys a slim and uses an old transfer cable basically gets f*cked and loses everything... im sorry i dont have much of a solution just wanted to be more clear about what was going onjflick4

haha hey dude, i solved my own problem.

i used a 3rd party transfer cable which altered my hard drive and makes it unreadable.

so what i did was use my 3rd party cable and browse/transfer save files to my PC, then transfer those files to a flash drive, and finally transfer them to my hard drive via the flash drive.

i highly doubt mass effect 3 will be released next year.. but i look forward to new vegas and The sims 3 for consoles!

its 2 player split screen or 4 player co-op online but if u got a t.v under 42" its not even worth playing split screen. i play on 80" screen split screen and i still dont like how it looksgundaicut

i agree with him. only play with a big tv, otherwise youll get a headache playing it.

if youre flexible, go with black ops since you can make classes. if you like to reach for.. yea lame attempt at joke i cant even finish it -_-

but in any case, dont be there are no sides to choose. only games.

Yes it is possible to get high kill counts with other classes because I have done it with each of them. Not that hard really.

haha i guess im not that good with other classes. but in any case to the OP, if yuo play the roles of the classes properly, things will feel natural and youll most likely end up with high points (and sometimes lots of kills)

if you want fast kills go as a recon with Magnum bullets and learn to hide. even as a defender, if your base is lost, try to stay behind enemy lines and pick them off. BUSHES ARE YOUR FRIEND man, no pun intended

ever since i got proficient with it im a recon all day errrr day, my record is 50-6 :D (the round was long ofcourse, like an hour almost) i dont know if its likely possible as other classes to get high kill counts.

Aim for the head. Also, don't worry about K/D ratio to much. There are a ton of ways to help your team win by not getting kills. Heal as a medic, keep your teammates stocked with ammo using assault, spot enemies using recon,ordestroy or repair vehicles as an engineer.

yes i agree with him. but if youre the type who gets satisfaction from kililng, recon is the way to go. it PUMPS you up MAN, when you do kill after kill. its CWAZY SON!

Just wondering. It seems that i may need to replace my new Slim pretty soon. I still have the transfer cable and im wondering if i can use it to transfer data to a new Slim.

never thought about that lol.. you should call up microsoft if you don't get an answer here. i just dont know how its possible to transfer from one slim to the other because one end of the transfer cable needs to connect to the HD
