I agreed with everything except when he said that AC3 was incredibly polished. Seriously I know that open world game tend to have more bugs, but the first 4 games were flawless in comparison to other open world title, AC3 on the other hand was infested with bugs... :(
@razdolbay @giocher Well Massimo Guarini, the game designer behind the game, is very close to the japanese culture and worked with Shinji Mikami and Suda 51 in the past, he managed to save Shadow of the Damned from total failure making it a fairly decent game in less than six months. Now he's on his own but he still retain the japanese vibe ;)
I would definetely suggest to watch some of Michael Mann's movie, in particular Thief and Heat, but also Collateral and Miami VIce.
Hey Johnny, why won't you do an episode on the waiting for Shenmue 3! I know you love the game and you wait (and hope) for a third as much as any other fan of that series! :D
@Leon_aditzu You live in alternate universe were the games like Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, Deus Ex, Thief etc... didn't come out in the 90's? xD!!!! Jokes aside I don't think that strategy games did ever rule, nor the opposite; strategy games are by nature oriented to only a relative small part of the public, not to the point of being a niche genre of course but with few notable exception (starcraft, age of empires, warcraft) they are undoubtedly aimed at a very small audience, whereas FPS are more well suited to please a broader public and to create very different game experience (think CoD, Mirror's Edge, Dear Esther, Amnesia, and so on).
I like this take on Reality Check! :D Of the 3 ideas I believe the StemBurgers are the one most plausible for the game without any risk of ruining the gameplay (that mean that they could be added at such a later stage of the development or with a DLC) :)
