X360 or PC? I really hate the lock on stuff, so I like the PC one, but I don't know if my PC runs it as well. But at the same time, I love the online community and just the online interface on Xbox. So I don't know which one is better?

I have both, andI'm wondering ifmy comp can handle COD4 as well as 360 handles it as far as graphics and framerate. I'm not a big fan of having the lock on in the 360 version, but also if it looks better on 360, I would rather have that. Also, which one do you guys reccomend I get?

Edit: I have a 320 Mb GTS, not a 640 GTS.

I remebered how this game was kinda expected to be cool, and kinda expected to be bad. I personally really wanted it, it looked really cool, but it ended up like Duke Nukem, and it has been too long for it to come out, and it said it was canelled on the gamespot pages for it. I thought platforming and shooting things in a Starcraft universe would be cool....anyone else remember this game?

This is acutally something I was pondering for a very long time. I was excited about Halo 3, but probably not as excited as for Halo 2 for some reason..I thought it would be exactly the same or I just wasn't paying enough attention. Then I started playing it, and I was really into it for about a week or two. Then I started feeling that it wasn't that fun. I didn't feel like playing it that much. Then I remembered how I loved Halo 2, and how excited I was. I played that game for probably 2 months without any other game...so I just don't know what happened.

Whenever I try to shut down Vista from my login screen, it restarts instead. On XP, though, it would do the same thing, but you could shut it down on the profile select screen, but on Vista it still does the restart instead. I reformatted my drive just yesterday, so I have no viruses that I know of. May someone tell me what's wrong....I heard it was the BIOS somewhere? Thank you.

This CPU is quite enough for gaming at the moment. I have the same ;) The 3700+ will rush a bit on new games like UT3 or Crysis but a good graphics card like yours will help a lot. And there is AMD X2 (Dual Core) CPUs on S939 (up to 4200+ I think). AMD does sell them anymore but some stores still have some to sell (TigerDirect has some models). But I don't think it's worthwhile to change your 3700+ single core to a 4200+ dual core. I think you're better wait and buy a new CPU + Motherboard brundle later. That's what I thinkalber

Cool, thanks for the advice.

In my sig.....I got my motherboard when 939s were all the rage.....I don't know if they still are now, but my CPU isn't the best in the world, and I think it's the reason why all my games slow down. I don't know whether I could by a PhysX card to fix the problem. I'm wondering if it would be possible to take out my current CPU and put in a new dual-core or if it would break my PC. If there's an easier way to solve slow downs because of physics and a lot of stuff going on in games(I know it's not from framerate), please inform me. Thank you for any assistance.

Edit: If it looks my CPU is good enough for gaming at the moment, please inform me.

I've been playing the Unreal Demo for quite a while today, and I am loving it. The problem is, though, is that I enjoy it so much as a game that I play in front of a computer. There are certain games that work in different situations and enviornments. For example, Halo works better on a console then on PC, but Counter-Strike a PC game, and it doesn't work well on consoles just because they have been designed for different purposes. Unreal Tournment has that certain feel of the speed and enviorment and just the plain rush that you get from sitting a foot away from the monitor...once you take that away, it deducts from the game. I understand that everyone has the option to play on the PC, but if this game goes onto consoles, it will deduct from other people's experiences. I truly believe that UC3 is going to be the game I play when I'm too lazy to get onto my Xbox and troubleshoot live, making it one of my most played games...and that is purly because it is so fun. And I will say, I LOVE HALO. It's my other favorite multiplayer game...probably my favorite overall. It's just that it works on a console because it has a different pace and overall feeling. Some of the best things about Unreal is that you will get sniped and then right as you slip away you die, and you can curse out you monitor...once you put it on the console...it just feels like you died, and there's no real feeling. The best example of my point can be seen with Unreal Championship (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/unrealchampionship/index.html?tag=result;title;0 )...I played that game and it didn't feel the same...I just couldn't get the feeling. I'm just hoping that the PC community will be large enough compared to all the people who buy it on the consoles.
