Two things for ya.

1. Macintosh, A.K.A, Mac. That computer is never used by video editors, graphic designers, or media related types. Couldn't design games on one of those.

2. Why doesn't MS stop EA from using the xobox consoles because they compete with software? Or any competition like that? Because you can't cross a bridge once its burned.

I'm going to college for graphic design, and all we use are Macs. Thats what they where basically made for, creative type of work.

Yup same here, Macs specialize in those areas.

A few games use openGL...but not many.

Are you dumb? Sony's PS3 uses OpenGL 2.1, it has no DX capabilities at all as DX is a Microsoft technology and only Microsoft systems work with DX.

It's normal, it happens to my Wii too. Just keep it at a cool place so it doesn't screw around with your GPU inside your Wii.

I think this holiday season is when the Wii hits home. Some of the titles I'm looking forward are: The Simpsons Game, Raving Rabbids 2 and Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal. I'm not too big on Nintendo made games though, so Mario based games or especially Super Smash is not on my list this Q4.

Pre-alpha means that the code isn't even complete in the first place or that they haven't truely build any software yet, as all developers know, the stage before alpha is pseudo.
