Geeze, today was just movies galore for me. It was a great way to spend the first day of my weekend, especially when the temps were in single digits (and are almost BELOW zero for lows).
Well, first off, when I woke up, I was lucky enough to see a movie I've been wanting to see for a while on TBS: Rain Man. Now THAT was an incredible movie. Didn't quite catch the very beginning, but the rest was almost flawless. In fact, I wasn't expecting to see Dustin Hoffman as a disabled person in this movie. It completely surprised me, and made the movie WAY better. I'd give it a 9/10.
Next off, it was time to hit the video store, and THIS time, I went. My dad got decent movies I guess, which were The Man (which I've been kinda wanted to see) and Cellular, which also looks decent. As for me, I picked out Hustle & Flow, along with Insomnia.
When we got home, we decided to pop The Man in. Well, it basically sucked. There were a few funny parts, but the action just seemed cliched and most of the humor was stale. It gets a 4/10.
Then we popped in Insomnia, and I hate to say this, but that was the first Pacino movie I've ever seen. Unfortunately, while the movie had a solid cast, I just found it to be boring. Oh well, I can't ALWAYS pick out stellar movies. 5.5/10.
Well, since my dad hadn't seen it yet, we decided to watch Saw 2, which I enjoyed just as much as the first time watching it. I also found a few things I missed out on the first time, which was nice. I gotta hand it to ya, the Saw movies never get old.
After that, I just basically flipped channels on the TV and catched the ending to Back to the Future on TBS and then started watching Cast Away on ABC (two movies that no matter how many times you watch them, they never get old). So, yep, today was basically all movies. I need to catch up on my video games. Dragon Quest 8, here I come!

Geeze this week has been a large pain in the ass. And I thought Valentine's Day would be it. WRONG! Well let's see, where do I begin...................ah yes, Wednesday. All that really happened was that I had lots of homework, and plus we had news of a huge snowstorm hitting us, so I was excited about that.
The Next Morning...........
I awoke expecting to be filled with bliss as I seen my school at the bottom of the screen on the news. Well, it didn't. I was pissed. So, I had a whole day of MORE homework, plus we got MORE news that more winter weather was coming. Yippie. I was optimistic.
That Evening...........
Well, no snow for us. Instead, the section of Michigan where I live got THUNDERSTORMS instead. How nice was that? NOT NICE. North of us, they got pounded with snow. Plus, that night, my old dog kept puking everywhere, and my mom had to clean it up because I'm sensitive to touch it:?. She did it several times that night, and it annoyed the hell outta me. Meh, so I just went to bed, anxious for morning to come, hoping for another chance at a school closing because the rain could've froze that night.
The Next Morning..........
Jipped again. So, I had to walk in windy, icy cold weather down to the bus stop, and had to put up with two substitutes today. Oh, and I can't forget about our pathetic Spirit Week Assembly, which lasted about 2 hours. I couldve sat by my TRUE friends (which are those girls I mentioned in a couple blog posts ago), and had fun, but NOOOOO. I had to sit by my other friend and his stupid sk8er friends. It was humiliating. Oh well, at least things would get back in order when I got home for my 3 day weekend.
Earlier Tonight.........
Well, after eating at a local restaurant with my dad and watching Lord of War with him (which was good, by the way), I decided to try to burn a CD with songs I downloaded from Wal Mart. Well, apparently, there are certain songs in which I already "used up my burns," because my stupid ass self kept playing the songs on "Preview" in my CD burning program, and it counted as burns I guess. So, I got robbed out of that deal.
Well, the rest of the night has gone smooth, I guess. I watched Saw 2 finally, and while it doesn't have as much character development and plot twists as the original, it was still a solid movie. Worth watching if you've seen the first, 8.5/10. Well, I'm going to stop wasting your guys' lives and let you enjoy your weekends. Enjoy!

Doomsday Has Come and Gone

God, thank god this school day is over. It was everything that I imagined to me, but since you already know what I'm talking about, I won't bother to whine and cry to you guys alllllll over again. Let's just say I had a sh*tty day. Plus, on top of it being Valentine's Day, I get loaded with tons of homework (what's with teachers giving homework on holidays, anyways?), didn't get the seat I wanted when we changed seats in Biology, and I heard the stupid song "I'm In Love With a Stripper" on the way home from school on the radio. Seriously, wtf is going on with mainstream hip hop nowadays? I mean, it was fine about a year ago, until artists like Mike Jones, D4L, T-Pain, and a grown up (or is he?) Bow Wow came out. No wonder I wanted to get into underground so much.
Well, well, I just noticed this note my mom left on the fridge. It said "Dear Josh, Happy Valentine's Day! Love Mom," but along with that, she drew a picture of 2 saws. So, right then and there, it was one of her usual "holiday riddles." So, I have figured it out, and it means "Saw 2," as in the movie. So I guess she went out and bought it as a gift, but now I get to see one of my most anticipated DVDs (and own it:wink: ).

*sigh* Geeze this is getting old. Same ol' crappy Mondays never change. It's so friggin boring. *gasp* BUT WAIT! Guess what tomorrow is??!!! VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! YIPPIE DO DAH!!!! LET'S PARTY AND HAVE BUTTSE..........ok, enough of the sarcasm. Man I really dread tomorrow. I'm going to feel like a huge loser. Last year was nice because it was actually a snow day, but this year, I'm afraid I won't be as lucky. I was looking through the school newspaper today, and all throughout the paper were Valentine shout-outs from one student to another, mostly bfs and gfs. It depressed me. I WANT A ****IN GF!!!! It just isn't fair. I get all A's, have a polite and nice attitude, and yet, my shyness and nerdy ways just TAKE over and cause me drop deeper in the "Single" meter. Well, enough of my usual, pathetic whining. Let me tell you about my weekend.
It was pretty much the usual: play video games, chatting, movies, trying to get into underground rap, etc. A couple of distinct things DID happen, though. Like on Friday night, which was definately a night full of pwnage. I was chatting with my friends, who are my age and as old as me, when and one of my other friend's stepbrother was online. And let me tell you, this kid is an annoying 8th grader who thinks he is the most ghetto hoodrat ever, plus he cusses in every sentence, but he's just this skinny dorky looking kid. So, he asks me what I'm doing and I tell him "I am chatting with my friends." Then he proceeds to tell me that I have no friends, so thats when the pwnage began. I told him to log onto Yahoo (which I was talking to my friends on), and come to a conference with us, so he did. Then, since he started talking trash to us, we just...................basically started pwning him. It was nuts, and at the same time, really awesome. That went on for about 2-3 hours that night, until some of the people had to go to bed, including me. But man did I have quite a night.
Also this past weekend was my nephew's birthday party. Yep, I'm an uncle. But yeah, he just turned 4, so that's pretty cool. I also have a neice who is 5 and another neice who is 13 (going on 30, lol). Anyways, the party was pretty lame. I just sat there the whole time because there were only a couple people I knew. Same with my dad basically.
Oh, and I watched more movies this weekend. Unfortunately, my parents were the ones that went....again. Fortunately, though, they got a few good ones: Murderball, Lord of War, Flightplan, and The Legend of Zorro. The only one I haven't watched yet, and I really want to, is Lord of War. But here's my thoughts on the others:
Murderball--Yippie, a documentary. But this one was surprisingly well done. It really gave me the insight on what it's like to be handicapped in a wheelchair. Also, the sport they played on there was a pretty awesome concept. It was basically rugby, only in wheelchairs. IMO the second best (and second ONLY) documentary I've seen besides Supersize Me. It gets an 8/10.
Flightplan--This one I was surprised with. Before I watched it, I thought it was going to be another mediocre thriller. Boy was I wrong. It reminded me A LOT of Red Eye, which was a good thriller by the way. The beginning was boring, but once Jodie Foster's character and her daughter get on the plane, things get suspenceful. Not the best I've ever seen, but very solid. 7/10.
The Legend of Zorro--This one my mom made me watch because she wanted "family time." Now, I've never seen The Mask of Zorro, so I basically didn't care about this one. The action scenes were humorous and fun, but everything else in between was genetic filler. Not my cup of tea. A meh 5/10.
Ok I'll end this blog post so all of your eyes dont fall out of your heads. Take care now, BYE BYE then.

Snow Day Streak Ended
by gohantech00 on Comments
Well, the continuous snow days I've been having has ended today. I had to go back to school today unfortunately. At least I have a 3 day week, though, which is awesome.
Nothing much has happened since yesturday morning. Just video games yesturday and a typical school day today. I DID get to get my picture taken with about 15 other students for getting all A's at school last semester, which is nothing unusual to me (don't mean to brag, sorry). Also, I've got a crappy NJHS meeting tomorrow after school, which I hate. I can't STAND volunteering (no offence). It's just not my thing. Maybe it's because I'm a lazy ass couch potato that I hate it, but oh well. My mom wants me to be in it so it would look good for college, so I'll play along. I just dont think I want to be in NHS next year.
Oh, and what do you know? I have finally gotten to level 17! Only 3 more levels until I become a notorious level 20 GSer. Boy I can't wait.

Still the Weekend :D
by gohantech00 on Comments
Man, yesturday was friggin awesome. I basically stayed home and chatted with friends, played Dragon Quest 8, and chilled all day long. Yep, it was nice to have a three day weekend. Then, the unthinkable happened when I got up this morning: I noticed my school was closed AGAIN among many others. Yes, I said another snow day. I now have a 4 day weekend:D. That snowstorm we had this past weekend must've been a pretty big one, because it was Saturday night when we had it, and today is Tuesday and I STILL don't have school. One would've thought the roads would've been clean by now, but who's complaining (besides people that have to work)? Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch those hilarious Tourette's Guy videos some more...........
Very Snowy
by gohantech00 on Comments
Yippie, another Sunday. But this one feels a bit different. I guess it's because we got dumped with about 8-10 inches of snow. Yep, it actually snowed for once this year in Michigan. To tell you the truth, I'm glad, because all we've been getting since winter started was mild temperatures and rain. It's kinda nice, but what is winter without snow in Michigan? Well, I just hope we get at least a few more inches overnight so I can have another full day of playing video games and being a lazy couch potato tomorrow. Right now, all we are getting is blowing snow because of some gusty winds, so I don't know how things will turn out.
Speaking of games, I've beaten another one, so now I can have 1 less game on my Now Playing list so it can look a bit cleaner. That game was Onimusha 2. While I never beat the first one, because the last boss was too hard, and I traded it in, the end boss(es) were surprisingly easy in Onimusha 2. But I will let you all figure that out and play to see for yourselves. Also, IMO, I thought O2 was better than the first one, because of being able to play as different characters and a lot more locations than the first. *sigh* Now I guess I'll have to look for O3: Demon Seige in order to say that I have played the whole Onimusha series (until 4 comes out, that is).
Oh, and one last thing that makes this day very important: SUPERBOWL!!!!! Well...........to tell you the truth, I hate football, so it aint that big of a deal to me. I'll just be playing video games instead. But I have caught myself in the past watching it for a few moments, buuut it was when my mom was working at Pizza Hut in the past and I had nothing to do there, so since the Superbowl was on the TVs, I just watched it for the hell of it. But since I'm not at Pizza Hut, I'll pass this time.
Well, I hope everybody enjoys the Superbowl and continues to have a great Sunday. So, once again, until next time...................
UPDATE: WOOT! WOOT! I just found out I don't have school tomorrow. Man life is good! Ok, just thought I'd get that off my chest since I'm in the mood to brag.:D

Change of Plans
by gohantech00 on Comments
Well, my Saturday has officially turned to a pure, lazy day. No going out driving to see my friend or anything, just.....pure.....laziness. The reason is because there is this huge snowstorm that is expected to hit pretty soon, and we are supposed to get around 10 inches, plus the winds are going to gust up to 40 MPH, so I decided I'm just going to stay home today. I've already been playing Psychonauts alot this morning, and I'll probably switch it with another game pretty soon, most likely Dragon Quest 8. My damn RE3 won't work because the whole disk is severely scratched, and I've tried 2 times to repair it in my disk cleaner, but no success (you get what you pay for for a rare game that's $8 used I guess). Oh well, at least it wasn't a $20-30 game, or else I'd be REALLY pissed.
Oh, and something horrible happened today while I stayed home playing Psychonauts: I let my parents go to the video store without me. *dramatic music starts playing* And, like I predicted, they picked out movies that were utter crap, so I'm skipping a weekend of watching movies I guess. In case all of you want to know, those stinky movies are The Fog, The Forgotten, Brother's Grimm, and some Steven Seagal movie my dad picked out. And I've TOLD them A MILLION TIMES that The Fog was a crap movie, but do they have the brainpower to listen? Hells no. Oh well, let them watch their crappy movies. I'll just enjoy watching Pulp Fiction in my room over and over again8)
Ok, I'm off to gaming wonderland once again, so have a great Saturday (crappy-movie free, hopefully).

A Good Day to End a Crappy School Week
by gohantech00 on Comments
Ah, man, T.G.I.F finally. This week went by FAST IMO. It was also a pretty crappy week for me if you've read my past blog posts. Luckily, though, today was pretty sweet, with no problems or anything. Here is why:
Well, first it started off with me turning my children's book recording on tape to the teacher that is head of the National Junior Honor's Society, and that went smoothly. Then, in English class, we got to go to the computer lab to type stuff, which is always a lot better than class work IMO. Next was Algebra class. My awesome teacher finally came back, and we didnt have our stupid sub anymore, whom I hate because whenever he tries to teach the class, he confuses the class alot, has a speech impediment, and gives too much homework. And in art class through geometry, I had no problems. Hell, I even had a great lunch, with good fries today. By the time I got to the bus, there was no backpack I had to carry today, meaning I left without homework, and there was even the hip-hop station playing on the bus again, unlike yesturday when the stupid bus driver had country on (which was unusual).
Well, just like past weekends, I think this one might be the same: video games, underground rap, movies...........and hopefully pork:D. I might even go see my friend if he's home, and I feel like it (test out my new driver's license again:wink:). So, until next time................
